Ali Larter Joins Dove Real Beauty Campaign
This makes us even more excited for the Emmy Awards.
Ali Larter announced today that, in collaboration with Dove Hair Care, she’s taking a stand for real beauty by “going real” on the red carpet.
The Heroes star will be forgoing the usual pre-awards show professional hairstyling routine by creating her own hairstyle, without a team of stylists. Her mission is to inspire women to start loving the hair they have, while not comparing it to the unattainable images they see in the media and Hollywood.
“There is a lot of work that goes into Hollywood hair and I want women to know that it is unrealistic for every day,” said Larter. “I am going to go out on a limb by doing my own hair for the Emmys without any stylists. I am going to use Dove Hair Care products for five days, get my hair in great shape and I am going to rock the red carpet. I am doing all of this to help women realize the potential of their own hair and feel more confident every day.”
We love it. We’ve been big fans of this Dove campaign for months now.
While working with Larter, Dove Hair Care uncovered that it often takes a team of stylists - two hours or more in a styling chair with curling irons, hot rollers, flat irons, foam wedges and products - to create celebrity camera-ready “Hollywood” hairstyles.
The company believes that such styling processes are unrealistic for women to achieve every day. However, according to a recent survey, nearly 60 percent of women believe that these images in the media set the standard for beautiful hair.
Pre-teen and teenage girls can be particularly affected by unrealistic beauty images in the media. Girls need to start embracing the hair they have at a young age, which is why Larter joined Dove Hair Care today in New York at a session designed to help build self-esteem in pre-teen/teen members of the Girl Scouts of the USA.
Serving as a positive role model, the Niki Sanders-portrayer inspired attendees to love the hair they have by sharing her personal experiences.
“I believe in the Dove Hair Care message and I am excited to take a stand for real beauty,” said Larter. “I have learned to love my hair and I hope girls and women of all ages do the same.”
Episode Guide, Quotes & Gallery From “Homecoming”
The cheerleader and, hopefully, the world was saved last night.
On a night where NBC reran the episode “Homecoming” - and Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia showed clips from season two of Heroes - we were treated to a few classic scenes, lines and pictures.
Read through a full recap right now if you missed any parts of the show and don’t forget to vote for your favorite Heroes quotes and photos from the episode, as well.
Happy Birthday, Hayden Panettiere!
We receive numerous requests for Ali Larter nude photos. And it makes sense people would wish to see this beautiful, older actress in the buff.
Now, though, these same people don’t need to feel dirty if they wanna see Hayden Panettiere nude. How come? Because the actress has turned 18. Today!
Congratulations, Hayden. We hope you have a great birthday.

Zachary Quinto Featured in USA Today
It may be difficult for fans to stop clamoring over Kristen Bell actually guest starring on Heroes for a chunk of season two, but USA Today recently featured another star of the show.
The nationwide newspaper focused on Zachary Quinto, specifically his role as Mr. Spock in the next Star Trek installment. Below are excerpts from the article…
Quinto and Leonard Nimoy have become fast friends since meeting briefly at San Diego’s Comic-Con sci-fi convention last month. They had more time to connect during a recent tour of the Griffith Observatory and a dinner together at Nimoy’s home.
Though there is speculation about how Abrams will make use of both Spocks in the film, no one is talking. “I honestly … can’t say,” Quinto said. Or, well, didn’t say.
A tiny clue, though, may be revealed when he adds: “I think there’s going to be a sense of guidance through this film and beyond.”
In Nimoy, meanwhile, Quinto has found a father figure of sorts.
His father, John, a Pittsburgh hairdresser, died of cancer when Quinto was 7. “That sort of changed the dynamic of the family,” he recalls, adding that he was “pretty independent at a young age.” He and older brother Joe (now working in L.A. as a photographer) were raised by their mother, Margo, who worked at an investment firm and, later, at the county magistrate’s office.
Having performed in school productions and studied theater in college, Quinto says acting “is the only thing I ever wanted to do.”
But Star Trek was never a show he got into. Rather, he preferred Disney’s Duck Tales cartoon and ABC’s 20/20. He still does a spot-on impression of that show’s former host, Barbara Walters.
After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, Quinto lived in New York before moving to L.A. in 1999. The self-described “homebody” is single and currently rents a one-bedroom house in the artsy Silverlake section of L.A. with two furry roommates: Noah, an Irish wolfhound/terrier mix, and Harold, a cat rescued from the streets. He says:
“I prefer having friends over for quiet gatherings more than I ever like to go to clubs, though I do that, too. I actually have a reputation among my (Heroes) castmates for being a partier.”
He has found many close friends among the colorful cast of Heroes, which includes Hayden Panettiere, Masi Oka and Milo Ventimiglia. Quinto considers the hit series his first big break. But some might recognize him as Tori Spelling’s gay friend on her 2006 series, So NoTORIous.
Kristen Bell Talks About Role on Heroes
Heroes fans are still expressing shocked glee over the fact that Kristin Bell is coming to the show.
It’s true, though. And Michael Ausiello of TV Guide just sat down with the former Veronica Mars actress to discuss how it all came about it…
TV Guide: Congrats on the Heroes gig! Is this some kind of evil plot of yours to send fanboys over the edge?
Kristen Bell: Absolutely. It is all part of my plan for world domination – and by world, I mean Fanboy World.
TV Guide: How did the gig come about? It’s no secret that you’ve been fielding many offers, including from Lost.
Bell: Obviously, I was in an extremely lucky position. I’ve kind of felt like I’ve been on a sugar high the last couple of weeks. Having any of those options… it still feels surreal. How do you make the decision between [Lost and Heroes]? Basically, being able to stay in [Los Angeles] was a little bit of a factor for me [in terms of turning down Lost]. But I was honored to even be considered by Lost. I really, really was, because I love that show. But I have social relationships with a lot of the people that work on Heroes, through so many random connections.
So it was sort of funny that so many of my friends had been working on this show. I spent a lot of time with a few of them at Comic-Con. I was actually sitting on the train [back from San Diego] with Zachary Quinto and Masi Oka and some of the writers were on the train and they were like, “Hey, if you ever want to come on Heroes, give us a call!” And I sort of joked back, “I’d love that!” Later on I said to Zach, “Hey, if they were serious, I would love to work with you guys.” And somehow, somebody made it happen.
TV Guide: Wait a second – you ride the train?!
Bell: (Laughs) Yeah, coming back from Comic-Con; none of us drove because the traffic was so bad. So we just took the three-hour train ride back.
TV Guide: Weren’t you mobbed by fans?
Bell: No way! Are you kidding me? No one recognizes me.
TV Guide: Was part of the appeal of doing Heroes the fact that it’s a limited gig, thus allowing you to keep your career options open?
Bell: That’s certainly not a bad point. I am kind of in the luckiest position possible, because they’re allowing me to leave it open-ended. So, yeah, that was extremely appealing. Also, everyone I know that is involved in Heroes has had nothing but excellent things to say about what it’s like to work there or for Tim Kring and Co. I received a phone call before I even knew that the deal was done from Tim and a few of his partners in crime and, I should probably keep this confidential, but it might’ve been the nicest phone call I’ve ever gotten. I think there was almost a point where I fell out of my chair.
TV Guide: How many episodes are you committed for?
Bell: I think I’m doing 13 as of now.
TV Guide: Would you be open to sticking around longer?
Bell: I think I might be. I’m kind of excited to go into this family, because doing a new show always feels a little like switching schools; it’s exciting but it’s also really nerve-wracking. But this feels like I’m transferring to a school that all of my friends already go to.
Tonight’s Heroes Repeat: Homecoming
Save the Cheerleader, Save the World.
Tonight’s rerun of Heroes is the culmination of that famous tagline. Peter finally tracks down the cheerleader (Claire, obviously) in Odessa, Texas and realizes his life mission: to save her from death at the hands of Sylar.
Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia will host the episode on NBC.
Peter arrives, hopefully in time to save the cheerleader and the world.
And Heroes Fanatic will have you covered with a full recap tomorrow. Remember: we’re always your source for Heroes spoilers, quotes, pictures and more. Thank you for visiting our site.
Heroes Caption Contest IV
Our staff doesn’t know exactly what sort of wisdom Mr. Bennet was imparting on his little girl, Claire, but we do know that a certain water bottle played a prominent role in the scene.
Or so the reader “Iheartclaire” noted. Check out his humorous submission below the photo - and remember to take part in this game every week.

We will return to regularly scheduled Heroes action in 15 seconds. We now present some nifty product placement. Ozarka spring water: it’s delicious!
