Masi Oka Will Win the Emmy Award

Another TV critic has chimed in about the chances Masi Oka has of taking home an Emmy Award this weekend.

Simply put, Entertainment Weekly says the Heroes star will be named Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama. Here's the magazine's feature on the matter:

Ali Larter: Cosmo Cover Girl

An Ali Larter Picture Ali Larter graces the cover of the latest Cosmopolitan magazine.

In the issue, the Heroes star gives a personal interview. Pick up a copy to read more, but check out excerpts of it below:

Until recently, we only got teases of 31-year-old actress Ali Larter. (She played the brave girl who sported a whipped-cream bikini in 1999's Varsity Blues and Reese Witherspoon's jailed sorority sister in 2001's Legally Blonde.)

But those small roles had one big thing in common: They left audiences wanting more. That craving was finally satisfied this past TV season, when Ali rocketed to stardom thanks to the success of Heroes, the Emmy-nominated show in which she brilliantly plays good-and-evil dual personalities Niki and Jessica Sanders.

"It's been a dream," Ali says. "Now I'm kind of in a sweet spot in my life and career."

Arriving in that happy place certainly wasn't a cakewalk.

"The rejection you deal with in Hollywood is hard," Ali admits. "But you have to try to take some of the emotion out of it. Even though it's a creative endeavor, it's a job."

Cosmo Cover Girl That levelheaded perspective could be attributed to a decision Ali made in 2002, when she returned to the East Coast to assess her career objectives. (She's originally from New Jersey.)

"That was a turning point," Ali says. "I moved to New York to define what kind of actress I wanted to be. When I tried to get back into the industry, I couldn't get a job...but it made me dig deeper."

Summoning the focus and tenacity to survive in eat-you-up-spit-you-out Hollywood has paid off — in a major way. In addition to season two of Heroes, Ali has three movies out this year: the sci-fi flick Resident Evil: Extinction, an indie film called Marigold, and the National Lampoon caveman comedy Homo Erectus.

It's a diverse array of characters that capitalizes on the range of Ali's own personality.

"I'm a bit of a contradiction," she says. "I like tomboy stuff, but I also love girlie, girlie lingerie because I feel sexy when I'm in it."

Heroes Episode Guide, Spoiler: A Look at Lizards

Officer Parkman The second episode of the second season of Heroes doesn't air until Monday, October 1.

But NBC has released the following information about the story line of "Lizards." Consider this your Heroes spoiler alert - and only read on if you wish to learn future plot details:

As part of his new job, Dr. Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) must track down The Haitian (guest star Jimmy Jean-Louis). While crossing into Mexico, Maya (Dania Ramirez) and Alejandro's (Shalim Ortiz) abilities prove to be a threat to those around them.

Heroes Spoiler: A Different Side to Sylar

Zachary Quinto recently answered a question from The Associated Press. And it shed some light into the future of Sylar:

AP: The show's been saying, 'Sylar's evil pales in comparison to a new villain.' Does that mean Sylar's turning into a good guy?
Zachary Quinto: You'll definitely see a different side to him. I don't know if it's a good side or not. But the nature of a show like this is that all the characters have to evolve and all the stories have to evolve and to ever expect that I would be the only force of evil in this epic world is kind of naive and shortsighted.

Good Sylar?

I think that my character is definitely struggling with a whole host of obstacles and problems that he never would have imagined and that he has to really, really deal with before he can sort of get back on track to pursuing all of his power-hungry, murderous rampage Hero hunting.

Greg Grunberg and Kristen Bell Cop a Feel

Heroes co-stars, and good friends, Kristen Bell and Greg Grunberg made an appearance this past Saturday at the 2007 Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.

Looks like they enjoyed themselves there, as well.

An Adrian Pasdar Picture: Our Bearded Hero

Looks like at least one Heroes spoiler is true:

Adrian Pasdar will, indeed, be sporting a beard for Heroes season two.

Here's a photo of the man who portrays Nathan Petrelli, during a stop in Monte Carlo as part of the Heroes world tour.

Bearded Hero

Rumors have swirled that Nathan's face is full of scars after his brother blew up. Hence, the need for some serious facial hair in order to cover them up.

TV Critic: Masi Oka to Win Emmy Award

You'd be hard-pressed to find a television critic more respected than Matt Roush of TV Guide.

With that in mind, it's good news for Heroes fans that he believes Masi Oka will take home the Emmy this Sunday night for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama.

Emmy Celebration?

Here's exactly what Roush had to say about the award:

A very tough call, but I'd give Heroes' delightful Masi Oka the edge. He embodies what's great about that show. Still, such terrific competition!

Lost's creepy Michael Emerson and stalwart Terry O'Quinn, The Sopranos' Michael Imperioli (dying is often a good way to get an Emmy), and Grey's Anatomy's heart-and-soul T.R. Knight are all solid choices.

Hayden Panettiere only recently turned 18.

But the Heroes actress looks very mature for her in age in this photo spread from Genlux magazine:

Greg Grunberg Speaks on Heroes, Star Trek and Jenna Jameson

Our friends at the-OWI.com spoke with Greg Grunberg earlier this summer.

In the interview, the Heroes actor discusses his character, his future and his fondess for a certain adult film star...

Greg Grunberg PhotoOWI: Do you prefer playing Matt Parkman as the nice guy we see now, or the future "morally gray" version
we saw in 'String Theory'?
GG: I always want people to think that he could turn on a dime if he had to. If I come across as nice ALL the
time it wouldn't be interesting. We all have a dark side. Don't we?

OWI: What did Matt ever do with those diamonds?
GG: Gave them to his pregnant wife Janice. She was left holding the bag... literally.

OWI: If you could play any role, what would you like it to be?
GG: I would love to play Scotty in Star Trek.

OWI: How much of the real Greg do we see on the screen? Are you anything like any of the characters we
see you play?
GG: I never fall far from the characters I play. There is always a big part of me in them. I can't help it.

OWI
: What does the immediate future hold for you?
GG: Very busy on shooting the second season and prepping a film.

OWI: Tell us about your best day on the Heroes set. Can you tell us about the worst day without hurting
anyone's feelings?
GG: The first day back on season 2. Any day of work for an actor is always his best.

OWI: Any hints for aspiring actors?
GG: Never get out of line. You are standing in a long line of other actors who have the same dream you do.
Those who stay the course WILL eventually get their shot. Never give up. If you do, you are just moving the
actors behind you in line a little closer to THEIR dream.

OWI: Any plans to direct or produce?
GG: Sure. I'm producing and starring in a film I wrote right now. So yes... it's in my future.

OWI: Who do you like to watch on screen?
GG: Terry O' Quinn on Lost... and Jenna Jameson.
