The latest issue of TV Guide is a fall television show preview.

As you’d expect, a healthy portion is dedicated to Heroes season two - and here are a series of spoilers the magazine has published in the issue:

•   We learn that the Company is deeply ingrained in the neuro-degrading virus that killed Mohinder’s (Sendhil Ramamurthy) sister Shanti and infected Molly Walker (Adair Tishler, pictured), the little girl with the power to locate anybody.

• A major backstory this season will be the old-guard Heroes - led by Kaito Nakamura (George Takei), Angela Petrelli (Christine Rose) and the late Mr. Linderman (Malcolm McDowell) - who were once determined to heal the world, but splintered due to infighting.

“We’ll reveal what split them up,” Tim Kring says. “This group has secrets - things they tried to bury - and it’s all gonna start coming out.”

• Joining the show’s “power” elite are Kristen Bell as Elle, a sexy criminal with ties to Peter’s “death,” and Dania Ramirez as Maya, an on-the-lam heroine from Central America.

Dominic Keating kicks off a new plot arc set in County Cork, Ireland, that’s all about “small-time hoodlums and crooks - they’re lovable but dangerous,” says Kring, who hints that “someone viewers already know will be embroiled in this story.”

• A fictional California beach town, Costa Verde, will also be added; it’s the new home of Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere) and her family. “We go into hiding and try to have some sort of normal life, but how normal can you be when you have so much to hide?” says Panettiere.

• Claire will become attracted to fellow high schooler West (Nick D’Agosto) and have her first real romance. But their first kiss ends on a stunner: Claire spots the Company’s “bag and tag” mark on West’s neck and he tells her of a traumatic encounter he once had with a man in horn-rimmed glasses.

Needless to say, Hayden Panettiere was a big hit at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.

While fans lamented the end of Britney Spears’ career after a pathetic effort on stage, photographers couldn’t get enough of this Heroes star:

What, exactly, were Molly Walker, Mohinder and Matt Parkman thinking during this scene? They were apparently very afraid of a certain, large evil-doer from the beloved Bill Murray film.

Oh no. It’s the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man!

The cast of Heroes headed to Canada as part of the show’s world tour earlier this summer.

Now, according to The Toronto Sun, the series itself will actually stage a storyline in a “major city” up north during season two.

Tim Kring, the creator of Heroes, made the announcement yesterday through a pre-taped video message that was played to fans at a public gathering in Toronto.

“Actually, the storyline is going to take us to a certain part of Canada,” Kring said. “Obviously, we’re going to shoot it here in L.A. But the story line will take us to a major city in Canada.”

Executive Producer Jeph Loeb was in Toronto last Thursday, as were cast members Zachary Quinto, James Kyson Lee, Noah Gray-Cabey and newcomer Dania Ramirez.

“Well, if (Kring) didn’t reveal (specifically which Canadian city it’s going to be), then I can’t do that yet,” Loeb said. “But it is a major metropolis, and it actually is important.

“It’s one of the many mysteries that you’ll have.”

Hayden Panettiere recently sat down with The Sunday Mirror in Great Britain.

Here are highlights from the article written while Hayden and the rest of the Heroes cast was abroad on its world tour…

“It’s great now I can actually enjoy a drink when I come here,” the actress said, citing England’s younger drinking age and her recent 18th birthday. “America is so strange in setting age limits - like I can buy porn or kill someone if I went to war, but I can’t have a glass of wine.”

She makes a good point.

She’s also making her debut album as a singer, and even had a shoot devoted to her in Vanity Fair magazine. But Hayden, who was a child star and started modelling at 11 months old, insists she’s just an ordinary girl, unlike other actresses her age.

“I was raised completely as a normal kid,” she saod. “I take out the trash, I walk the dogs, I vacuum. I’m not allowed to leave the house unless I make the bed.”

Panettiere lives at home in Los Angeles with her mother Lesley (who is also her manager), her dad Skip, a retired lieutenant in the New York fire department, and her brother Jansen, 12.

Meanwhile - despite being snapped partying with Paris Hilton when she was 16 - this Heroes star is adamant she isn’t going to get caught up in drink or drugs like her fellow young stars often are.

“I’m not surrounded by the kind of people they’re surrounded by,” she said. “It’s so controllable. When you’re putting nasty white powder up your nose that’s you putting it up there, no one else is doing it.”

But what about her and boyfriend Stephen Colletti? They won’t be seen partying at Hyde or other well-known Hollywood clubs?

“We aren’t really into the big party lifestyle,” she said. “I like hot-tubbing. I don’t want to be known as a party animal. I don’t want to be seen to be dressing trashy. I don’t think I’d go to a premiere with a tight, tiny, miniskirt and bikini top.”

As the second volume of Heroes begins, the fates of Peter (Milo Ventimiglia), Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) and Matt (Greg Grunberg) are revealed, following the horrible showdown with Sylar (Zachary Quinto) and Peter’s uncontrolled nuclear detonation miles above New York City.

As everyone attempts to move on, a new sinister force begins stalking and murdering Heroes. With the family hiding in Southern California, H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) and Claire (Hayden Panettiere) attempt to live as inconspicuously as possible, which proves to be easier said than done.

Meanwhile, after landing in feudal Japan, Hiro (Masi Oka) meets his hero Takezo Kensei (David Anders). Twins Maya (Dania Ramirez) and Alejandro Herrera (Shalim Ortiz) hope to make the crossing into the U.S. from Mexico, in hopes of finding help with their deadly abilities.

Dana Davis, Noah Gray-Cabey, James Kyson Lee, Ali Larter, Sendhil Ramamurthy also star. Nick D’Agosto, Lyndsy Fonseca, Cristine Rose, Barry Shabaka Henley, George Takei, Eriko Tamura and Adair Tishler guest star.

We’re only a few weeks away from Heroes season two.
