Fashion Face-Off: Hayden Panettiere vs. Vanessa Hudgens

We already know Hayden Panettiere is indestructable.

But does her Heroes power transfer over to fashion? Can she be defeated in a showdown with another young actress wearing the same dress?

Let's take a look:

Fashion Face-Off

Who wears this dress better: Hayden Panettire or Vanessa Hudgens?

From Heroes to Pushing Daisies: Jayma Mays

Remember Jayma Mays?

Maybe this will help refresh your memory: the cute actress portrayed Charlie, Hiro's adorable love interest on Heroes until she was killed by Sylar.

Well, even though the time traveler couldn't save the waitress, Mays' career appears to be doing quite well: she'll guest star on the fall's most buzzed about show, Pushing Daisies.

Look for her on the fourth episode of this new quirky ABC drama.

Milo Ventimiglia on Men's Fitness Cover

Milo Ventimiglia... Topless!Hayden Panettiere isn't the only Heroes star worthy of magazine covers.

This month, Milo Ventimiglia graces the pages of Men's Fitness. Aside from an alluring cover shot (shown below), there are also hot pics of this actor inside, as well as a feature article.

In it, Milo talks about putting on muscle for the role of Peter Petrelli, while also sharing the story of a recent date who said: "So you're polite, you don't drink, you don't smoke, you're a vegetarian, you keep yourself fit, and you're successful. What's wrong with you?"

According to Heroes creator Tim Kring - and most of the female population - the answer is: nothing at all. Here's what Kring had to say about the star:

"Milo's going to have one of these huge careers that is very much in the director-actor-producer category. He'll be able to control his own projects. He's a very impressive guy."

Heroes Graphic Novel Release Date, Details

DC Comics has come out with the release date for the upcoming Heroes graphic novel Volume 1. It will hit stores on November 7.

The unique book collects the Heroes online comics into one large tome. Here's more information from the company's press release about it:

On November 7, DC Comics will publish Heroes, a hardcover graphic novel collection based on NBC's Emmy and Golden Globe nominated television series Heroes, featuring covers by comic book superstars Alex Ross and Jim Lee and an introduction by star Masi Oka.

Heroes Graphic Novel

The stories, which mark the first printed graphic novel adaptation of the show, were originally created for the Heroes website at NBC.com, where new chapters continue to be exclusively available.

The collection spotlights the fluid artwork of legendary comic book artist Tim Sale, whose work was featured prominently during the first season of the series through the visuals created by a drug-addled painter with apocalyptic visions of the future.

Ali Larter On: Stripping, Fighting, Whipped Cream Bikinis and More

British newspaper The Daily Mail recently sat down with Ali Larter. Here are a handful of quotes, all from the mouth of this Heroes star, and all interesting to read:

You never know when you're going to have to fight or take your clothes off. So my research for Heroes has been invaluable.

I worked with a few different martial arts trainers to make myself completely believable in the fight sequences and I was amazed how gruelling it was.

Ali Larter NakedThe stripping was even more demanding, if anything. In one of the episodes of Heroes, I end up stripping in a bar. I thought, "If I'm going to do this I'm going to be the best goddamn stripper the world has ever seen." So I really threw myself into it. Four hours a day for a whole week I was up and down this lap-dancer's pole. By the end of it I had a new-found respect for women who do that for a living.

For my first-ever movie scene I was completely naked except for a bikini made of whipped cream (pictured). That was my first scene in Varsity Blues and I had no clue what I was supposed to do. I knew if I started crying it would be hard to stop – so I cried for seven hours solid before filming started. The scene must have worked OK because so many people remember it.

If I could have a special power in real life I'd love to fly. I seem to spend more and more time on planes these days. It would be just wonderful to be able to flap my arms and take off to wherever I needed to be.

When a door closes I always find another one to kick open. I was brought up to believe that there is no such thing as failure as long as I'm trying my best. So I've had a 'blood, guts and glory' approach through my whole life. It's enabled me to live the kind of life I want to live. No one's going to tell me no – and if you do tell me no it only gets me more fired up to prove you wrong

Heroes Spoilers: Hints About Sylar, Ando and More

During a press conference in New York recently, a few hints and spoilers about season two of Heroes were leaked.

Sylar Pic For example, here's what Zachary Quinto had to say about the future of his character, Sylar:

"I'm just trying to get some more power," he said, also hinting at a change for the evil one. "The point at which we left the story in season one, and the point at which we begin in season two are vastly different for my character, and for all of the characters, really."

Such as Ando.

James Kyson Lee has already told us that he and Hiro will continue to communicate, despite being approximately 400 years apart from one another. But it also turns out that Ando will return to his boring job in Japan:

"What happens in one timeline may affect the other," Lee said about his character and that of Masi Oka. "For Ando, I think you'll see him spending more time at Yamagato. Does he want to stay there? Probably not, after experiencing all that he did in season one."

Lastly, it's been revealed just when Ando and Hiro will meet up again: episode eight. It's called "Four Months Ago" and lets viewers know what took place between seasons.

"For the returning fans, episode eight fills in the gaps," said co-executive producer and writer Jeph Loeb. "Hopefully, by that time, everyone will be into this mystery. When we get to the middle of November, everyone will be completely filled in and we'll move forward."

Amazon to Show Episodes of Heroes

heroes_keyart.jpg NBC Universal said this week it will sell episodes of its new fall television shows using Amazon's Unbox digital download service.

Amazon.com and NBC Universal said episodes of Heroes are available for $1.99 on Unbox, while new episodes will be added the day after they air. Fans can buy an entire season at once.

The NBC content can be played, without commercials, on the computer screen or on a TV via a Web-enabled TiVo set-top box.

NBC Universal, which is majority owned by General Electric, has said it wants to package programming in different ways at different prices, something Amazon is willing to consider, according to Jean-Briac Perrette, president of NBC Universal's digital-distribution division.

Heroes Spoilers: Season Two Promo in Canada

This isn't really a Heroes spoiler because it's a promo that's been running in Canada and will soon be shown on NBC here.

Nevertheless, we wanted to warn readers who really don't wish to see a second of season two.

In the following clip, we see:

  • The first appearance of Dania Ramirez and her brother, fleeing what looks like a border patrol truck;
  • Peter in some type of prison, getting the crap beat out of him;
  • Hiro and and a very non-Japanese Kensei (David Anders) in Feudal Japan;
  • Mohinder giving his "the world is at stake!" speech.
