Super Heroes Spoilers: A Look Ahead

Forget your typical Heroes spoilers.

Get ready for a super edition of Heroes spoilers, courtesy of Kristin from E! Online. Check out what this columnist says we can look forward to on the show:

Elle Is Super Kinky: In episode 8, which flashes back four months, just wait till you see how sadistic our darling Kristen Bell can be as she gleefully zaps and zings Peter. Oh, and FYI, their lips might kinda sorta meet.

Kensei Is Super Old: 400 years old and he looks that good without a smidge of Botox? No fair! And he might even have picked himself up an Anglo name! You’ll see very soon, and so will Peter, who gets a new bunkmate.

Caught!

Maya Is Super Bad: And not in a fun Michael Cera of Superbad way. Just wait till you see what she did four months ago! Her brother will look like a saint by comparison.

Nathan Is Super Lucky: You know that burned dude the former politician keeps seeing in the mirror? It’s definitely Nathan from just a few months ago, and the reason he looks so good is that (a) Adrian Pasdar is genetically blessed and (b) there’s a cool new “cure” of sorts that could do a whole lotta people some good, including Nathan and, perhaps, Isaac and D.L. and Simone and Daddy Suresh, to name a few.

A Hero Is Super Dead: Sylar’s gonna kill a Hero. A non-Hero’s gonna kill a non-Hero. And then Sylar’s gonna kill another Hero. Yeah, news flash: The guy’s still ridonkulously evil.

Inside Heroes: A Look at Isaac’s Paintings

There were three big developments on last night’s Heroes episode:

  1. Peter finds an evacuated, futuristic New York City;
  2. Kensei turns evil;
  3. H.R.G. finds Isaac’s collection of paintings.

Below, we’ll focus on the final item, going through a handful of the painting Mr. Bennet and The Haitian uncovered in “The Line.”

The deah of Kaito, as seen in the season two premiere. Could an immortal Kensei be the culprit?

heroes-isaacs-paintings-03.jpg

A viral of… the virus? Think it means anything that a Caucasian hand is holding it?

A blonde woman - Niki, we presume - is trapped somewhere.

Hiro takes on Kensei. The clearest depiction of all the paintings.

Mohinder takes action against someone. Bob, perhaps?

Heroes Round Table: The Line

Welcome to our sixth Heroes Round Table.

While fans of the show gather in the forums to discuss every character and story line, our staff comes together every week to analyze the latest developments from the latest episode.

Topics in this edition include: Claire’s story lines; More mystery from Bob; and glowing praise for H.R.G. Let’s get to the Q&A…

More tiresome story line involving Claire: Her distrust of her dad, or her interaction with another bitchy cheerleader?
A. Hiro: How about ANYthing involving cheerleading? This hobby of Claire’s worked well for that Season One tag line, but here’s a fresh idea for Season Two: Save the Originality, Get Claire the Heck Out of the Role as Social Outcast at School.

Milover: How about the complete lack of Claire on my lap in her little uniform? Just kidding. Not really. Of these two options, the cheerleader cat-fest is much more tiresome. At least Claire’s dad has shady dealings we aren’t yet aware of, giving it an element of mystery. Are we really supposed to care about Claire and that other girl [played by Dianna Agron]? Why does nothing happen on this show!?

Timex: I actually enjoyed the prank on the bitchy cheerleader. Claire needs to learn to respect her dad, he is kind of the man. See question 4.

Bob’s gift of an iPod to Monica: Kind gesture with no strings attached, or part of an evil plan, chock full of ulterior motives?
Milover: Ha, try Option B. Like a payday loan that promises instant cash but is loaded with crippling interest rates on the back end, this iPod is a gift chock full of ulterior motives if there ever was one.

Timex: Bob seems like a good guy. I have nothing but trust for The Company and the virus that they’ll release on New York City. Now the important question is: why didn’t he give her an iPod touch? Clearly money is not an issue for a man with the Midas Touch.

A. Hiro: I think Bob just wants to make sure Monica is listening to the appropriate tunes as she transforms herself into the ultimate fighting machine. We recommend “Kung Fu Fighting” by Carl Douglas.

Who will die first: Alejandro, or viewers from the sheer boredom of his, Maya’s and Sylar’s story line?
Timex: Wow, last night I feared it was going to be me. Can we friggin cross the border already and have something happen? How many episodes must we drag this journey out?

Mylar?A. Hiro: Alejandro is a goner. We know this much for sure. After all, Sylar gave the audience a little speech about it, one that actually was necessary because we were starting to forget that this guy was evil in the first place. Remember when he actually did stuff? That was awesome.

Milover: Alejandro… if only so the story line will also be put to death, this saving millions of viewers from this fate. That ultimate sacrifice would make him a hero among Heroes.

Mr. Bennet is The Man. Discuss.
A. Hiro: Let’s just say I hope Ivan is correct and that there’s no going back now for H.R.G. Who would ever wanna see this intriguing, bad ass of a character act in any other way?

Milover: He so is! With a hilarious Masi Oka and the rippling biceps of a shirtless Milo Ventimiglia, it’s very easy to overlook the job Jack Coleman does as Mr. Bennet. Yet he’s become one of the most compelling characters on the show, week in and week out. I’m curious to see who he shoots next!

Timex: Wow. Anyone who didn’t think Mr. Bennett was The Man surely had to become a believer last night. We still don’t know if Noah has a talent yet, but even if not, who cares, he sure has the talent of torture. Oh, and a Haitian friend.

Heroes Spoilers: The Connection Between Peter and Elle

Over at E! Online, Kristin has posted the following, brief Heroes spoiler.

In response to the question of whether or not Elle (Kristen Bell) and Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) will hook up on the series, this television critic said:

Yeah, except he might have a minor beef with her for, I dunno, (spoiler alert) wiping out his memory and sticking him in a crate or something.

She

Interesting. Sounds like Elle is directly responsible for the state Peter finds himself in over the first few episodes of season two.

A Cure for Heroes Problems, Characters, Season

Success! You can probably tell by the tone of our recent Heroes episode guides, but we’re as displeased with this season as many critics of the show.

Every week, tiny steps are taken in the advancement of story lines, but countless minutes are wasted to get us there. Take last night: By the end, we were intrigued by a deserted New York City and an evil, pissed off Kensei.

But we almot fell asleep during the build up to those pay offs, as the two main Heroes on the show - Hiro and Peter - have been anything but heroic for a solid six episodes now. Simply put, it’s been incredibly boring.

Instead of just bashing the series and praying for a return to Season One glory, however, let’s review various characters, their problems so far this season and the ways we’d amp up their story lines in order to make Heroes, you know, interesting and exciting again…

Mohinder: Wasn’t the plan for the doctor to help take down The Company from the inside? Has he done anything along those lines yet? Even last night, when he finally stood up to Bob and refused to inject Monica with a strain of the virus, it was rather overt. No real suspense there.

Mohinder needs to start taking action. Instead of merely showing the Adam Monroe file last night, why not have Suresh sneak in and steal it later in the episode? Cue the dramatic music, show Bob walking down the hall, Mohinder scrambling to swipe the file before he’s caught… anything that reeks of intrigue in an angle that, so far, has shown us nothing but Mohinder following orders and making faces.

Claire/West: Many in our Heroes forum are guessing that West will turn on Claire eventually, and we agree. But can we please get there already? Do we really need an entire episode focused around some inane plot to get Claire onto the cheerleading team?

And do we really need her and her father distrustful of one another again? Been there, done that, seen these two make up in the first season. We know Claire can regenerate body parts, but we have no interest in watching her regenerate story lines.

Heroes Episode Guide, Photos, Quotes & More from “The Line”

As loyal Heroes viewers, we hope and pray that tonight’s ending at least laid the groundwork for a story line that will give all characters a common purpose.

Because we’re not sure how many more episodes such as “The Line” we can take.

Hiro is still nothing but a lovelorn shell of his former self in Japan? Claire is resigned to plots about joining the cheerleading squad? Mohinder is the whipping boy of the company and the only interesting aspect of last week’s episode - Parkman and his father - isn’t even mentioned?

Read our detailed recap right now and get caught up. It’s full of Heroes photos and quotes from the hour.

Then, head over to our Heroes forum and discuss the episode, the story lines and everything else about the show with fellow fans. Thanks for reading - and let us know if you share our current discontent.

Adrian Pasdar Featured in USA Today

Adrian Pasdar Picture He flies through the stratosphere as failed presidential hopeful Nathan Petrelli, one of NBC’s Heroes.

But off set, actor Adrian Pasdar can often be found in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on his 42-foot sailboat.

“I come out here, usually by myself ,” says Pasdar, stretching out on deck under his fully unfurled sail. “I go out 100 miles and will just stay out a couple of days to be away from Hollywood.”

But below deck in the cabins, there is ample evidence of favorite passengers: a bed overflowing with stuffed Finding Nemo fish belongs to his sons with Natalie Maines, one of the Dixie Chicks: Jackson Slade, 6, and Beckett Finn, 3.

More than his hearty Heroes paychecks, which helped pay for the $200,000-plus vessel, Pasdar values his free time. The 42-year-old is looking forward to sailing his sons all the way to Tahiti.

For that reason, the prospect of leaving Heroes last season didn’t provoke panic. In the finale, his character seemed to explode high above the clouds with brother Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) in his arms.

James Kyson Lee Speaks on What Lies Ahead

Among the complaints of many viewers during season two? We want more Ando and Hiro!

Fortunately, James Kyson Lee tells TV Guide that he and his on-screen best buddy will be reunited soon enough. Here’s what else he shared with the magazine…

James Kyson Lee PhotoTVGuide.com: Congrats on becoming a regular cast member.
James Kyson Lee: Most people thought I was a regular last season, because I was in all but one of the episodes, more than anyone but Masi Oka and maybe Milo Ventimiglia. But I was a guest star. It doesn’t mean anything really but a pay raise. You could still go at any moment.

TVGuide.com: The way Hiro is able to communicate with Ando through the scrolls in his ancient sword is really cool. There’s no way for Ando to write back, is there?
Lee: No, because Hiro put the letters in there 400 years ago — even though it’s kind of simultaneously. Last week I recruited some help to decode the secret scrolls; that’s how I found out what exactly is taking place with my friend. I found someone who is an expert at decoding ancient writing. It has an Indiana Jones feel to it. It’s almost like discovering the Dead Sea Scrolls — a major, major artifact.

TVGuide.com: We can expect Hiro and Ando to reunite sometime this season, can’t we?
Lee: That’s our destiny. There are more villains to tackle — Molly’s bogeyman, the whole so-called Dirty Dozen — and we have to go after them. And that will be dangerous.

TVGuide.com: How do you think Ando has changed?
Lee: He’s in a completely different place. He’s a self-inspired warrior. After all, he decided to kill Sylar even though he doesn’t have powers. You have to give him credit. He’s naive, yet somehow heroic.
