Caption Contest
As always, thanks to everyone who submitted an entry for this Heroes Caption Contest.
While numerous captions made us laugh, we’re awarding this week’s top submission to “bryce6.1.” Yes, he’s our first repeat winner.
We’d like to mix it up, but a a reference to NBC’s Green Week is too good to pass up. Check out the winning entry below the picture right now, scroll down to read the rest and come back to play every week.
Thank you.

Yaeko: Hiro, don’t spit! It’s Green Week, we must respect our plant friends!

Despite Claire’s (Hayden Panettiere) best efforts to keep them apart, West (Nick D’Agosto) learns that the man who kidnapped him as a child is her father (Jack Coleman).

Masi Oka
Masi Oka has been named global ambassador for One Laptop per Child (OLPC).
It’s a non-profit organization launched in 2005 with a mission of providing a means for learning, self-expression and exploration to the nearly two billion children of the developing world with little or no access to education.
“Being a part of a global effort that is enabling children to learn, grow and succeed in life is both tremendously gratifying and important to me,” said Oka. “I’m very excited about this opportunity to represent One Laptop per Child and bring my love of technology and education to the global community.
I believe that it is incredibly important to enable access to learning for all children so that every child has the opportunity to create a better life for themselves, their family and their society.”
So much for that idea.
NBC has pulled the plug on Heroes: Origins, the Heroes spin-off that was slated to run next April. The network declined comment, but sources said the possible strike by the Writers Guild of America — which could happen after the guild’s contract expires midnight Thursday — played a role in the decision.
We wouldn’t be surprised, however, is the declining ratings and sub-par reaction to the second season of Heroes itself played a major role, as well.

“Looking at everything in context of the strike, we’re evaluating all of our production commitments,” said one source. “Scripts haven’t been written yet.”
We’ll keep you updated about this situation if anything changes.
