New Heroes Web Comic News

Heroes doesn't return until mid-September. But here's some good news, fans:

You won't have to wait until the fall a superhero conspiracy fix, according to Entertainment Weekly. In what series writer Chuck Kim calls ''a mini-spin-off,'' a new installment of a web comic, focusing on the show's mysterious Company will debut each Tuesday, beginning April 15.

Check it out here.

''We're basically focusing on a group of agents within the Company,'' says Kim, who also penned this online story arc, which will run weekly for five months. ''We'll be seeing Bob and Elle and The Haitian in there, and we'll be touching on HRG. The story will start at right about the end of season two.''

Lastly, here's a juicy tidbit: ''We'll learn that there's someone within the Company who's trying to bring it down.''

Two New Heroes Characters on the Way

Here are a couple brief Heres spoilers for season three: Look for a pair of new characters to join the series.

  1. Joy, a woman in her 20s who gets into and out of trouble quite often
  2. Senator Robert Malden.

Remember: the third season premieres on September 15 with a three-hour special!

Kristen Bell in Vanity Fair

There's only one picture of Kristen Bell in the May issue of Vanity Fair. But it's a sexy one:

The actress has made it clear she wants to return for season three of Heroes. We sure hope she does.

Ali Larter is Lucky... Again

Heroes star Ali Larter graces yet another cover of Lucky Magazine for its May 2008 issue (she was also on the March 2007 cover).

Lucky Actress

Here's what she had to say regarding fashion:

On her style: "I like my clothes to be able to take on my mood rather than tell me my mood. When something looks great on me, I don't even question it. I just buy it, because who knows when I'll find the next just-right thing?"

On wearing a gigantic new engagement ring to the cover shoot: "I've never been a huge jewelry girl, but I'm never taking this off." (She's engaged to longtime boyfriend, actor Hayes MacArthur.)

Heroes Season Three Premiere Date Set

The third season of Heroes will premiere on September 22. But that isn't the only piece of major news recently released by NBC co-chairman Ben Silverman.

"We consciously chose to rest [Heroes] this spring so that [creator] Tim Kring and his team could get ahead of the creative and build up to a massive event–a three-hour Heroes night," Silverman said during the network's upfront presentation to advertisers in New York on April 2.

"On Monday, Sept. 15, we'll kick off with a Heroes clip show to try to bring back the audience and [then air] a massive two-hour Heroes film."

How excited are we for this?!?

We had a difficult time choosing this week's Heroes Caption Contest winner. There were many humorous responses to the situation depicted below.

But "Sharrah" made us laugh the hardest with her entry, showcasing Mohinder mocking Sylar's lack of ability to produce breakfast. Check it out under the photo now, and then scroll down to read the other submissions.

Thanks to everyone that sent one in. Come back and play every week!

Heroes Spoilers: A New Narrator?

Our good friend at TV Guide, Michael Ausiello, recently posted a mysterious response to a question about Heroes Season Three.

Someone may be moving in on Mohinder's narrator turf. Tim Kring is said to be seeking an Australian Aboriginal actor in his fifties to appear in multiple episodes as a storyteller with great wisdom and a soft, soothing voice.

Do you think something happens to Mohinder? Would you like to see a different narrator for a bit? Write in. Let us know.

Hayden Panettiere is on No Kiss List

Don't worry, this isn't any sort of punishment set forth by boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia.

Instead, it's yet another movie lined up for Heroes star Hayden Panettiere. She'll be appearing in a film based on the book "Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List."

The story takes place in Manhattan, where Naomi and her gay best friend Ely protect their soulmate friendship by creating a list of people deemed off limits for smooching. Their friendship is imperiled when Ely kisses Naomi's boyfriend.

Already, Panettiere has signed on to star in I Love You, Beth Cooper and Daydream Nation. We hope she still has time for Heroes!
