Heroes Round Table: One of Us, One of Them

Welcome to our 13th Heroes Round Table.

While fans of the show gather in the forums to discuss every character and story line, our staff comes together every week to analyze the latest developments from the latest episode.

Topics in this edition include: the death of Mohinder; Sylar vs Sylar; and Hiro vs. Ando. Let's get to the Q&A...

Should the show kill off Mohinder?

A. Hiro: Gosh yes. There are too many story lines without him even, and the annoying doctor stopping bringing anything to the table after season one.

Milover: Yes. Like Lost, Heroes would benefit from the unpredictability of killing of main cast members more often.

Timex: I gotta tell you, I did not miss him from last week's episode. And, realistically, I don't think I'd miss him from the show. Do what you gotta do to get rid of him, writers.

What was Claire's birth mom thinking?!?
Timex: She must have just watched "How to Lose Biological Daughters & Alienate People."

A. Hiro: I have no idea. But what was HRG doing entrusting his family to a woman that had already proven to be irresponsible and whose sole power involved the making of fire?

Milover: Can't say I approve of the torture... but at least fire-starting mom was trying to relate to Claire and assist her with her issues. Useless, real mom is simply an enabler, as proven by her approval of Claire's so-called sleepover.

Heroes Spoilers: Welcome Back, Adam Monroe!

New Sylar

No sooner did the latest episode of Heroes end than Kristin from E! Online posted a series of spoilers that take last night's story line developments to a new level.

Here's how this television columnist describes future events on the show...

  • Hiro and Ando will dig up a former arch enemy. We wonder how Adam Monroe can help them uncover the formula.
  • Dr. Zimmerman will reveals answers to Tracy Strauss' questions regarding her unusual origins. We'll alsolearn of a fifth version of the woman who looks just like Ali Larter.
  • In the future, Sylar is living with his son (named Noah) in the Bennet house... and owns Mr. Muggles! Zachary Quinto said of such violations:

"I believe that there may be some waffle-making in this episode. This is an alternative sort of reality - you catch glimpses of times that may or may not actually come to fruition, but that are possibilities."

That's a bit annoying, if you ask us. The show can take too many creative liberties and essentially just make up whatever it wants to if alternate-reality futures play a prominent role in episodes. There's no need for story line coherence.

Heroes Season Three Spoilers: A Look Ahead

Following this week's incredible two-hour premiere of Heroes, fans understandably have many questions about what lies ahead.

Kristin from E! Online claims to have a few answers. Here's her latest look at what's to come on season three:

Claire's Heading for Mommy Dearest: Claire's will be focused on a mission to fight back after her Sylar encounter. Biomom to the rescue! Yes, as you've seen, Jessalyn Gilsig (Meredith) is back in the next episode, and it turns out she knows a thing or two about combat.

Ali Larter Will Be Called "The Ice Queen": She will be bitchy, lethal - and promptly hopping in the sack with Nathan Petrelli for some decidedly unchilly action. Hot diggity!

Mother Petrelli

Do you trust Mother Petrelli? Chime in now on our Heroes forum!

No Brotherly Love for Peter and Sylar: "We do have a couple of scuffles," Milo teases of what's ahead for his character and his new brother.

Angela Petrelli is Intriguing and Evil... Right? When asked if Angela's good or bad, Cristine Rose offers this glimpse of what's ahead:

"As of this volume, none of that applies. It's all up in the air. Nothing is as it seems. You will be totally surprised by everything, on every level. It's all about good and evil, and all of us walking that strange line between good and evil, and who is going to going to fall into the good category, and who is going to fall into the bad—and really stay there. It's a balancing act through the entire volume, and it's so good."
