Will Heroes Get Lost?

Weeks ago, we suggested that Heroes has to follow the lead of Lost. But we didn't mean like this!

According to Kristin from E! Online, the show will duplicate a Lost-like catastrophe at the end of the current "Villains" volume.

"There's a huge plane crash, and all of us are involved," said Gren Grunberg (Parkman) of the planned story line. "You don't know who survives."

We also hear that Hunter (previously-announced guest star Zeljko Ivanek) will capture many of our favorite Heroes and load them onto a transport plane, setting the stage for the "Fugitives" volume next year.

While fans of the show gather in the forums to discuss every character and story line, our staff comes together every week to analyze the latest developments from the latest episode.

Topics in this edition include: annoying story lines; Peter vs. Nathan; and HRG's fathering skills. Let's get to the Q&A...

Which couple has a brighter future: Elle/Sylar or Daphne/Parkman?
A. Hiro: Based on the latest round of spoilers, it doesn't look good for Daphne.

Milover: Until that eclipse clears up, the future looks dark for everyone. But I'll choose Elle and Sylar because I love the chemistry between Kristen Bell and Zachary Quinto.

Timex: Well, from the future I saw, it sure looked like Sylar was a single dad. So I'm going to have to give it to Daphne and Parkman. I love the ability to see the future. Takes out any room for drama.

More annoying story line: Hiro as a ten-year old or anything involving Mohinder?
Timex: Hiro as a ten-year old for sure. Why? Because Hiro is one of my favorite characters and he's being rendered useless right now. Mohinder has always been useless.

A. Hiro: There's no way to spin the Hiro story line. Masi Oka was nominated for an Emmy after season one. Look what the show has done to him since!

Milover: I hate how they've destroyed Hiro, but at least I laugh at his antics occasionally. But Mohinder has bone-headedly sided with the evil side for three consecutive seasons now.

Heroes to Welcome One Tree Hill Star and More!

So... Daphne can't walk on her own, Sylar hearts Elle and Mohinder has really creepy skin.

Those are among the developments we discovered on last night's episode of Heroes. But what's to come? Kristin from E! Online has a few answers:

One Tree Hill actress Moira Kelly will come aboard in the role of Abby Collins, a Homeland Security agent, in at least one episode of the show's fourth volume.

Dan Byrd (of Aliens in America) has a recurring role in that volume, title "Fugitives." His character will be named Luke, as he goes on the road with Sylar, seeking adventure and excitement. We don't portend a happy future for anyone that tries that.

Claire won't die. In an upcoming episode, she becomes the focus of a major showdown between good and evil.

We hope you enjoy the romance between Parkman and Daphne while you can. One of these characters won't last the season.

According to rumors, Daphne may soon be facing more trouble than a pair of useless legs.

Tim Kring is Sorry

Last week, we published an interview in which Heroes creator Tim Kring came across as rather bitter about the current state of television. He even manged to insult those that watch his show at its regularly-scheduled time.

To his credit, Kring has issued a statement apologizing for the remarks:

I need to strongly apologize for the slightly mangled quote of mine that is making it's way around the internet. It was made while trying to explain the rise in DVR and online audience for the show.

I was making the point that these platforms now offer a superior way to watch the show (without commercials, with extra content, commentary, at the audience's convenience, etc.) And went on to say how it's getting to the point where "watching the show on the air is relegated to the poor saps and dip****s who can't figure out how to program their DVR's". (Or something close to that)

It was a boneheaded attempt at being "cute" and making a point.
