Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly certainly knows how to make a simple, significant point.
When asked in this week's column what happens on the third season finale of Heroes, Ausiello writes:
Sylar kills a regular Hero that's been on the show since Season 1. And it sticks.
Sylar will strike again before this season concludes. Who do you think he'll kill?

Agreed. It won't be any of the big 3 (Peter, Claire and Hiro), but it has to be a major, yet essentially peripheral, character like Nathan, Parkman, Ando or Mohinder.
Nathan (with the future timeline) is the most obvious choice... and he'll have to die uber-heroically to make up for an entire season of being an utter jackass.

A friend of mine's guess is Angela Petrelli. It would make sense with how much character progression there's been on her this season. Hmmm....

my guess is nathan or angela because that will lead into season 4 with peter and hrg hunting sylar, but i could see mohinder dieing too

It won't be HRG, Peter, Matt or Hiro. They are too important to the show. They are extremely popular characters and their role in the savior of mankind is crucial. HRG doesn't even have powers. Come on people, Sylar is out for people with power. As much as Sylar dislikes HRG, HRG is too smart to die by his hand. He's been around for 20+ years doing this, he's a pro.
People wouldn't be too concerned if Mohinder or Ando die. They are not as special.
My thoughts are that Angela or Nathan will bite the dust. Angela has lost more and more power this season and with what she said about God and knowing what to do makes me believe she's headed for him soon. Nathan may die to save the lives of everyone else. He may feel that this is a way to redeem himself for the trouble he has caused.
Because of Angela or Nathan's death, Peter is now upset at Sylar and wants his revenge. Peter will get his original power back and, agreeing with nmdsiue07, wish to hunt down Sylar.

ITS POSSIBLE ANGELA MAY DIE, EVEN THOUGH I DONT WANT HER TO.IF PETER, CLAIRE, HIRO,HRG DIES, THERE WILL BE A BIG STINK WITH FANS..IT COULD BE A TRICK YOU KNOW, APRIL FOOLS, MAYBE THE CHARACTER DIES BUT COMES BACK DIFFEREN, NEW IDENTITY..SO ON AND SO ON..

I am going with Nathan. Im still sold on the future comming true. Where Sylar become Nathan and becomes President. They also showing us a change in Nathan to where everyone will start to like his character again. They are making him to where everyone will care if he dies. Plus they will still get to keep the actor that plays Nathan because Sylar will shapeshift into him.

SYLAR STILL HAS HIS POWERS AND GETTING MORE AND MORE..WHEN WRITERS SAID THEY WERE SCALING DOWN POWERS BECAUSE THE CHARACTERS GOT TO POWERFUL, SYLAR KEEPING HIS IS TOTALLY AGAINST THEIR THINKING..ITS UNBALANCED AND STUPID.IF HE KEEPS ALL HIS POWERS AND GETS TO HAVE MORE..GIVE PETER HIS POWERS BACK, THERE HAS TO BE A YING AND YANG..ITS JUST WRONG AND UNFAIR.

I completely agree with gunsmith what sense does it make to have sylar unstopable. No one can stop him how is there an balance of power scaling when he is able to defeat all the heroes. But I can't wait to see who dies and what happens to show. I hope it bring more people back to the show. I would hate to see the show go but at this rate I can see it happening. The writers need to ask what do the viewer want to see. We bring in the rateings if we are not getting what we want the show will fail.
