The last time we chatted with a character on Heroes, it was Peter Petrelli.
Therefore, it only seems fair now that we give his rival and polar opposite, Sylar, a chance to open up.
We know, we know: nothing about how Sylar behaves seems fair. So why give this monster any sort of forum? That's our first question to him...
The Fanatic: Considering all you've done, why should we even give you this forum to explain yourself?
Sylar: I'm not trying to explain myself. And I'm certainly not asking for pity. You've seen what my mother expects me to be: special. Society must feel the same way, or why give me these powers? I'm just as God made me.
The Fanatic: But didn't God then make Peter the same way? You don't see him committing murder.
Sylar: Oh, you don't? What would you call his actions toward me during the first season finale?
The Fanatic: Let's move on. You crawled into the sewer system at the close of "How to Stop an Exploding Man." When will we see you again? And have you gained any new powers in there?
Sylar: You'd love for me to tell you that, wouldn't you? Is Mohinder taping this interview? I'm not in any rush to show my face again, considering how I'm treated. But you'll have to wait and see.
The Fanatic: Do you miss fixing watches?
Sylar: Sometimes. But I was never appreciated in that capacity. Say what you want about me now, but people certainly appreciate my talents.
The Fanatic: How about Gabriel Gray? Do you miss him?
Sylar: No. He wasn't special. The world forgot about Gabriel Gray a long time ago. They'll never forget me.
