OK .. i am loving everyone's thoughts here and i love the fact that they have said hiro will be a big part but i surely hope it isn't his death.
he does need to become the hero we saw on the subway. if maybe not so dark but dark enough to be that.
what concerns me is the fact that they left this huge hole that would have fixed his head problems. not to take away from the toys the writers get to play with but a shot of claires blood would have fixed hiro right up. healed his head. i think the prob was the baby turned on only part of him so his body couldnt' shift right. also .. with the nathan thing .. doing anything with sylar is playing with fire. in season two they brought HRG ( bennet ) back with claire's blood from a bullet in the eye .. why not shoot up nathans body we know it can reanimate dead cells and regen new ones. sorry i just saw the easy fix .. lol but common sense dont' seem to make good show entertainment i guess.
Not matter what they do Nathan will die. Mama Petrelli has seen it and so have we.
Sylar now moved his spot, they don't know how to kill him.
Peter could take Parkmans ability, but Nathan still dies somehow, no matter what. Before it was Sylar then it was Peter when he went nutz. Nathan is suppose to die. This future is set in stone. How it happens is not set in stone.
So they solved the problem. They need Nathan as a leader and Sylar dead. Peter can't be as good as his older brother...yet, and Sylar is too powerful and we can't figure out how he can be killed unless...you read his mind and you do kill him. BUT you lose Nathan. Since Sylar can become Nathan, and make it stick with Parkman, you try it otherwise you still lose Nathan
This time they got to restore Nathan and kill Sylar off so he is not making the decisions for him in the white house.
Also Peter and Claire still think Nathan is alive. They could never play along with what Mama Petrelli did, and Sylar would come back, leaving Nathan lost forever
What I'd like to see happen is for Peter to have taken on all of Sylar's abilities, OR empathic mimicry (like he used to have), meaning that he and Nathan now have the same powers.
Also, it'd be great for Sylar's personality to surface again through touching things and intuitive aptitude: almost a Niki/Jessica situation. Only, I'd like to see Nathan destroy the Sylar personality, and actually kill him.
this is for everyone who has posted a comment here saying that sylar cant fly:
Sylar can in fact fly as he did shortly before killing nathan in the finale. He used empathy like he did with the shapeshifter dude and thats how he got nathans ability
so yeah
that solves that little mystery i hope, even for you dumbasses out there.
IM REALLY PSYCHED FOR REDEMPTION, THE SYLAR/NATHAN OR SYTHAR WILL BE VERY COOL, ITS LIKE SYLAR AND NATHAN CURSED TO BE AT ODDS OVER SUPREMECY OF ONE BODY(BECAUSE OF CLAIRE)FOR ALL ETERNITY..SUCKS FOR U SYLAR. I LIKE HOW EACH CHARACTER HAS THEIR OWN NICHE STORY, ALOT LIKE XMEN COMICS..I HOPE ALL THEIR POWERS EVOLVE MORE..
it's sucsk! I never thought that this show could get anymore ridiculous, but I was wrong.
The finale and the season as a whole were crap.
Sylar being Nathan now is completely stupid. Like everyone said, you know Sylar will be back in a couple of episodes. That to me is a slap in the face. It's like they don't even have any respect for the viewers that are left. Heroes has wasted enough of my time. I haven't seen anything that shows me that Heroes will recover. I'm amazed how far this show has fallen.
Kill Nathan ?
Screw this. I'm over it. I'm just so bitter/hateful/depressed because I've been such a loyal fan for three years just to have this as a reward. Thanks for nothing.
It's something that COULD be really, really interesting and cool, like 15 or 25% chance... But, probably, 75% chance, will be lame and unplausible and fall to peices. But I'm rooting that the writers can make it cool.
Here's a thought. They must really have an idea where they're going to ultimately take the story, or else they wouldn't have pulled something like this. I bet when they came up with it, at like 3 in the morning, the idea for the whole arc came at once, "I know, we'll have Nathan die, then they MAKE Sylar become Nathan, and then next season we'll...[insert bizarre but finite set of consequences for Volume 5 here]." Still, that doesn't mean it's cool or makes sense. But I do have SOME faith in the writers. It's my favorite TV show after all.
On another note, I have to say, there something CREEPY about the whole thing. In a bad way... The same way having sex with a plastic doll just doesn't really hold all that much appeal, having a fake family member around, built out of the craziest, evilest, and most powerful person in world, I dunno, I just have trouble not being creeped out by the whole thing. Almost as much as I was creeped out when Sylar turned into his MOM. Talk about FREAKY Friday.
I hope they have one hell of a storyline to pull themselves out of this hole they've just buried themselves in. i think what the writers did was the worst possible thing they could have done with the story.
Speaking of healing, they never really explained the power discrepancy. "Sylan" was implanted with Nathan's memories, which included his flying to save Peter back in the beginning of the series. You'd think he'd notice if he ever wanted to fly but found himself unable to. And being able to tell how things work aside, he still has the lie detector ability and healing ability. Wouldn't he get at least a little suspicious if he suddenly heals after accidentally cutting himself while shaving?
I still don't get why Angela didn't think to use Claire to revive Nathan.
well what about when peters memory got erased by the haitian.. he got them all back because he can heal... i hope the writers remember that.. and is there somthing im missing becouse i didnt think sylar could fly, i thought he gave up on the whole empathy thing
