Put me in agreement that Nichelle Nichols has some sort of power. Why else bring on another Star Trek alum unless it is for some cool reason?Posted 11/5/2007 2:31:08 PM # -
The Line
I just wanted to comment on the theories that Hiro can jump around time and fix his, or others', mistakes. I think they clearly showed in Season One that this is beyond his capacity -- that basically events are pre-ordained and he can't alter what has already happened. He tried to save that waitress from Sylar, but found out she was going to die anyway. So while the method may differ, the outcome is still the same. Yes, the Heroes were able to avoid the prophecy that an exploding man was going to demolish New York, but if you remember Hiro had to come back from the future and have someone else enact the chain of events to avoid the catastrophe. There must have been a reason Samurai Hiro from Five Years Later couldn't have saved the cheerleader himself, and it is likely the same reason why he couldn;t save the watiress and why he can;t change what has transpired between him and Kensei.Posted 11/5/2007 2:29:51 PM # -
What powers does Sylar have?
He does something with the brain. Whether it is eat it, I'm not sure. But all his victims are found with the top of their head cut off and the brain cavity empty. To the best of my knowledge, the brains are never found. It's pretty gross, but Sylar's not the most stable of individuals.Posted 11/5/2007 2:14:43 PM # -
New Hero approaching! - Simone Deveaux
I was wondering the same thing. I've heard nothing about him coming back to the show, although his reappearance would be great. He was one of my favourites last year. I loved it when he lifted that lady's purse, handed it to Peter and walked away. Classic. If you want to go way off on a fanboy tangent, connect the dots that Kaito was pushed from the roof of Deveaux's building, which just happened to be where Claude was living while invisible. Yes, he is thought to have left when Bennett found out he was still around, but there is no reason why he couldn't come back. I'm just throwing this out there as I still believe Kensei is the killer, but Claude could have gone over with Kaito, turned invisible and grabbed the overhang. A bit of a stretch maybe, but hey, we're talking about a show that has flying people.Posted 11/1/2007 12:18:09 PM # -

Hiro back in the present
SPOILER ALERT! According to the plot synopsis released by NBC, Hiro will be back in the present on Nov. 19 in Cautionary Tales. The synopsis says, "Meanwhile, Hiro (Masi Oka) returns from the past and learns of his father's death. Grief-stricken, he flings himself into past and makes a stunning personal discovery." I thought at first he would discover himself as the killer, but in the following week's synopsis, Hiro goes searching for the killer. Unless he's stuck searching for a mirror, I don't think he killed his own dad. But I can't wait for him to be back, and hopefully reunited with Ando. They were the highlight of Season One. This Hiro-stuck-in-feudal-Japan storyline has grown stale.Posted 10/31/2007 2:01:17 PM # -

I read in a spoiler somewhere that "Four Months Ago" Peter, Elle and Adam cross paths. I'm guessing just after Peter explodes and regenerates. Could Adam Monroe be Elle's father? That Nov. 12 episode should explain a lot. If Elle and Adam know the Haitian wiped Peter's memory clean, it could be they are searching for him to use him, not kill him. Peter would be an invaluable ally to have, as those Irish thugs found out.Posted 10/31/2007 1:42:13 PM # -
The full proof and story of Kensei-as-killer theory
I was just reading the latest posts in the Kaito's Killer thread, and think Peter would be the perfect candidate for the Holy Shit moment I'm seeking. I've thought of Peter before as the killer as he has both the power and motive to do what has been done (killing Kaito and attacking his mother). His power allows him to fly or regenerate -- marking what happened in Kaito's murder. He can go invisible and teleport, covering the attack on Angela in the police station. He also has a grudge with most of the original 12, as they, including his mom, were willing to let him explode and take half of New York with him. What piqued my interest in that other thread was the possibility of the killer being Peter from the future. Is is possible that after he finds out what happens in 2008 to kill 93 per cent of the population, he traces it back to the virus and systematically tries to wipe out the people responsible for unleasing it on the world? Again, this borrows heavily from a Season One story arc, in future Hiro tracing back events to having to save the Cheerleader from Sylar (remember all the string he had criss-crossing Isaac's studio?) to save the world from the explosion. Just an alternative theory to put out there.Posted 10/31/2007 1:36:49 PM # -
The full proof and story of Kensei-as-killer theory
I agree 100 per cent with this theory, but at the same time I think I'll be disappointed if it turns out to be true. Most of the signs point to Kensei as Kaito's killer -- his symbol on the pictures (although I've argued before it's tough to use the symbol as any kind of evidence as it is so prevalent in the show), his ability to regenerate, a motive (be it anger towards Hiro or something from pre-season one that led to the estrangement of the original 12). This is intertwined with the theory that Kensei is the Petrelli's father. That gives him an extra motive to kill Kaito (the alleged affair between Kaito and Angela Petrelli). For somebody who would be 400 years old, faking a death and remerging as a new person would be commonplace (a la Highlander). There is also the fact that in the picture of 12 Mr. Petrelli is the only one not looking at the camera (I've mentioned this in another post, drawing the similarity to Judas in DaVinci's The Last Supper). Now with all that said, back to my disappointment if Kensei turns out to be the killer and Mr. Petrelli. I want to be shocked. This all seems obvious to me (understanding that it doesn't to others), but when the killer is revealed, I want to have a "Holy Shit!" moment.Posted 10/31/2007 1:27:26 PM # -
Discuss the 8 paintings
Good theories. Is it possible though that the blonde banging on the wall is Elle? I like the Micah/Miki possibility, but we have a pretty good idea that Elle is unstable and could certainly respond in such a way should she fail in what she is trying to accomplish. I shudder to think they will kill off Bennett. He has turned into the strongest/best character in Season Two. I know the painting leads us to believe he will be shot in the head, but Isaac has been wrong before (after all, the Heroes were able to stop New York from being blown up, as was depicted on the floor of his studio). Shot, or almost shot, by Mohinder? Quite possible. Although there is a strong possibility that West is holding Claire in the painting, the guy embracing her is actually in shadow so we don't know for certain who it is. But West and Bennett are certainly on course for a clash of some sort. That Hiro/Kensei fight could be coming sooner rather than later. It looks like they are battling in the past, and all spoilers indicate they will both be in the present shortly.Posted 10/31/2007 1:16:24 PM #
