Peter Kills Kaito....
I'm not so sure about the Linderman theory. He was said to be Adam's disciple, and I don't think his powers extend beyond healing by touch. My thoughts are Linderman led a revolt of sorts against Adam, and this became the creation of the company and the alliance of the original 12 in that picture. But I haven't heard anything about Malcolm McDowell coming back to reprise his role, so I think they are going leave him as one dead character with a big whole in the back of his head.Posted 11/19/2007 1:03:56 PM # -
Peter Kills Kaito....
The cockroach is the one aspect of this show that has me baffled. Whether in a physical form or a reference, it keeps popping up; I don't have any hard data, but the cockroach is probably the No.2 symbol in the show, after the ubiquitous half-helix. As Sasha96 pointed out, there seems to be something between Sylar and the cockroach. There was one in his cell at Primatech. Another on the sewer grate after Candace grabbed his body in Kirby Plaza. There was also one crawling near that kid Sylar killed in Mexico when he started putting the works on Maya. But Mohinder talks about in the series premiere, and also mentions how they are in his apartment in New York. One of Mohnider's first confrontations is with an exterminator in his apartment looking for roaches (this is when he met Eden). I just can't figure what, if anything, they all mean. Maybe the Evil Mastermind is somebody we haven't actually met yet, but is, to borrow a term from Harry Potter, and Animagus. Who knows, but it's always fun to guess.Posted 11/16/2007 2:24:56 PM # -
Is Matt the only hero Isaac didn't paint?
There may be more Isaac paintings out there. Tim Kring indicated in an interview that more beyond the eight from this season may turn up. Something hast to tip the heroes off to whatever plague is threatening the world in Volume III, whenever it gets around to being written and filmed.Posted 11/16/2007 2:12:22 PM # -
Four Months Ago
I was once a preacher of characters being related, but am starting to doubt it more and more. It could still happen, and there is evidence to suggest certain characters could be related (like Claire and Adam), but the fact that a dude who can fly and some chick who can produce fire from her hands can have a daughter with regenerating powers indicates the DNA mutations/evolutions are somewhat random and not hereditary. The only connection we've seen thus far is Parkman and his dad, but that's based on the words of Maury that his power started out like Matt's and he learned to develop it. Well, we saw how much we can trust what Maury Parkman says. For all we know, his power could have been the same from Day One and he lied about it to trick Matt into that room. If there are any relations, I'm guessing it's Adam to Claire through Claire's mom and that the fire that was supposed to have killed Claire and her mom 14 years ago was started by the mother while fiddling with her powers. Elle's "Dad," is likely Bob, and he is probably an adoptive father much like HRG is Claire's adoptive father. It could very well be that company made a habit of taking kids with special abilities and passing them around to its employees for "adoption." The best part about all this is the episodes will eventually air, the questions will be answered and we'll all be proven wrong! Man I love this show.Posted 11/15/2007 3:54:00 PM # -
The Haitian's Powers
I agree with the theory that the Haitian has to concentrate on an individual to sap their power, but I'm wondering if he can only do it to one person at a time. I can't recall the specifics of that scene from Five Years Gone, but I'll rewatch it (how did our TV-watching ancestors ever survive without shows on DVD?).Posted 11/15/2007 3:45:38 PM # -
The Original 12
I'm not sure if Angela Petrelli's power is persuasion or not, but I do know it was pretty creepy the way she was pawing at Heidi while talking to her.
On another of the 12, I was watching the first episode of season 1 the other day and picked up a line from Peter of which I didn't previously catch the relevance. But right at the beginning, he mentions to Simone that whenever he closes his eyes he gets "these amazing dreams." He also happens to be sitting beside Charles DeVeaux's bed when he gets these dreams, which lends credence to DeVeaux having some sort of mind manipulation/remote viewing/dream power.

Four Months Ago
I've wondered about Peter being able to absorb teh Haitian's abilities. What we don't know for sure is how exactly the Haitian's nuetralizing powers work. My theory is he has to be concentrating on the individual he is neutralizing. Remember how he was intently staring at Matt in that bar in season 1? And in this episode, he was standing right beside Elle and she could still shoot out her lightning. But Peter was useless in his presence. If only for dramatic effect, the producers can;t give Peter the Haitian's powers. How anti-climatic would a fight with Sylar be if Peter can just shut him down and then kick his ass?
As for that 8th painting, I have no doubt it's HRG in the painting. But I don't think he's going to die. This is one of those Isaac paintings that serves as a warning. Much like the paintings of New York laid to waste that never came true, neither will this one. Bennett is too important to the show to kill off.
I've also heard somebody is going to die this week. My guess will be Alejandro (or maybe that is more of a hope?!?!)

Kaito's Killer
I'm voting for Adam. Just another little rift between him and Hiro.

Four Months Ago
Regarding the writers' strike, I don't think the concern is that the season will end prematurely. The concern is that when this volume ends, it could be quite some time before we get the next volume, as opposed to starting in January as was the original plan.Posted 11/14/2007 12:17:22 PM # -
Irish Girl?
Good points, but let's wait and see what they do with the Caitlin story line next week. Over the course of this week's one hour show, very little time was spent in the present. Caitlin wasn't part of that backstory so it would make no sense for her to be part of the Four Months Ago episode. But I do agree they have to flesh this story line out. It will be pretty lame if they just drop it. Presumably next week's show will pick up from the end of Out of Time, minus the few minutes of story line we got with Peter and Adam (Peter getting his memories back) in Four Months Ago. That would be the best time for a Peter meltdown that he forgot his girlfriend in 2008 (and I thought I was bad for forgetting my wife at the grocery store - LOL). Maybe with his memories back he'll be better able to control his powers and can go get her.Posted 11/13/2007 5:44:58 PM #
