  1. Petreli's Dark secret

Never mind the changing the rating. I'm sure someone down in the San Fernando Valley is working on that script right now (or are adult-film writers on strike too?). Coming soon to a local adult vidoe store near you!

  2. Out of Time

I believe Nathan's "burns" are more a metaphor than anything else. I think when he was seeing that version of himself, he was seeing his guilt for letting Peter die, because until this episode he was unaware that Peter survived. This show could get really cheesy really fast if they started handing out powers to different people just to make it convenient for the story line.

  3. Petreli's Dark secret

Very good points in both of these posts. The theory of Nathan and Peter (or possibly just one of them, likely Nathan) as the love children of Angela and Adam makes sense, moreso than Adam being the same person as Mr. Petrelli. I do think it's more likely that just Nathan is the love child though. It would provide a genetic link between Claire and Adam, but could also explain why Linderman (whom we are told was Adam's disciple) and Angela were willing to sacrifice Peter and New York and portray Nathan as the hero. And I love the angle of Adam/Kensei being the twice-jilted lover, once by the father (Kaito/Angela) and the son (Hiro/Yakeo). That would certainly be enough to give someone motive to knock a few people off.

  4. The Original 12

I thought it would be neat to round up what we know about the original 12, as their relationship seems to be the catalyst behind what is happening in Season 2. I'm going from memory here, so any help would be greatly appreciated. 1. Adam Monroe -- power of regeneration, de facto leader of the 12 and likely around 330 years old 2. Linderman -- power of healing, disciple of Adam's (second in command?), deceased 3. Mr. Petrelli -- unknown power, lawyer, father of Nathan and Peter, deceased (maybe?) 4. Angela Petrelli -- unknown power, mother of Nathan and Peter 5. Kaito Nakamura -- unknown power, father of Hiro, trained Hiro to fight Sylar, deceased 6. Charles DeVeaux -- unknown power (maybe remote viewing or dream manipulation?). Deceased 7. Bob -- power of alchemy or manipulating metals/matter, working for the Company 8. Maury Parkman -- power of mind reading and manipulation "The Nightmare Man." Was working for Adam to kill members of the original 12. That leaves four whom we don't know (was Ivan the Ukrainian one of the 12??), and if memory of that picture serves me well, two or three of those are women. There is also the possibility, however, remote, that Adam and Mr. Petrelli are the same person. Any thoughts or additons?

  5. Out of Time

I'm not so sure about Adam having powers beyond regeneration. Even when Peter shot the lightning at him, if you look closely at Adam's hand it looks kind of fried and crisp as the lightning hits it, and then heals quite quickly. If Adam was an empath (I love that word, by the way), he wouldn't need Maury Parkman as his "weapon" and he wouldn't need to ally himself with Peter. An empath with evil intentions could pretty much go about do whatever he/she pleased without the help of anybody -- and Sylar is a perfect example of that (although probably not a true empath like Peter, his ability to acquire other people's powers is similar enough). What we know about Adam, via Bob's story to Nathan, is that he is one of the 12 and that Linerman was his disciple. I'm not sure Bob showing Nathan the article about the snow storm in Florida was an example of what Adam can do. I think Bob was illustrating that people with special abilities can make a good difference in the world, but that Adam didn't see it that way -- he wanted to use his power over others, not to help others. That Kensei's symbol has become so prevalent in the world of Heroes indicates at one point Adam held considerable sway over the others. If he is indeed killing them off, it could be because of the rift that developed in the group. Well, all this is probably for naught anyways because the writers (PLEASE COME BACK TO WORK) are good at throwing twists at us. But it's still fun to theorize.

  6. Virus Theory

It's an interesting theory, but as we learned last week the Shanti virus has mutated and threatens to infect any human, not just those with abilities. We also learned that Mohinder's blood is not a cure for this mutation. And Maya is immune to her own power. We saw that a few weeks ago when she killed those guys driving the truck after they kidnapped her and left Alejandro on the side of the road. Alejandro caught up with them too late to save anybody's life, but Maya was OK, if not a little distraught. But I do like the connection between the brothers and sisters. That could very well develop and play into something larger and/or more meaningful over the course of the season, provided the writers' strike doesn't cut it off early.

  7. Out of Time

I had once thought Kensei/Adam would turn out to be Mr. Petrelli. I'm not as certain after last night's episode, but it's still not beyond the realm of possibility. I don't think Adam's powers extend much beyond regeneration, but there is the very good possibility that he has learned to control his power better, as did Maury Parkman. If Adam can manipulate his cells, there is reason to believe he can alter his look, if ever so slightly (that is to age himself, and then make himself young again). Peter didn't recognize him, but Peter also had his memory wiped by the Haitian (or so we are led to believe). It took Peter a few moments and intense interaction to recognize his mom once again. Thus it stands to reason he wouldn't instantly recognize Adam. Now did anybody else notice that while Bob was talking to Nathan about Adam, the one thing he DIDN'T do was show Nathan a picture of Adam (possibly knowing Nathan would recognize this great evil as his own father). I admit it's a stretch, but not beyond the realm of possibility. I'm jst glad Hiro's back in the present and reunited with Ando and that the show is moving a much quicker pace.

  8. Peter's Powers.

Add the Haitian's power to Peter's repetoire as well, if he can ever figure out to use it. According to what I've read, it was the Haitian who wiped Peter's memory.

  9. Out of Time

Bob's power is alchemy. He can turn things to gold. But Bob is one of the few of the older generation whose power we know. I missed the trailer for next week's episode, but I have been looking forward to Four Months Ago for a while now. I can't wait because last night's show rocked.

  10. Out of Time

Well, so much for Kensei as Mr. Petrelli, but there there is almost no doubt about him as the killer, unless Bob is leading everyone on. Very good episode tonight, best in a couple of weeks. Can't wait for next week's Four Months Ago, especially after Bob's revelation that Peter was at The Company, and they had tracked him to Cork before they lost him. Good on Matt as well. He was awesome in this episode. I'm not too happy about this writers strike possibly cutting the season short though. It's finally starting to get good.
