  1. Heroes that Bite the Bullet

I think it's a safe bet to say that Maya will be one of the two heroes that is going to die. They've already killed off Alejandro and there's really no need to keep Maya on the show. I think Niki is a good possiblity as well. There's nowhere else they can go with her powers except to make even more personalities, and that would get old fast. Beyond that, if she died, it would be a good reason to bring D.L.'s mom into the story to help look after Micah (many believe that she's one of the original 12 from the picture).

That said, I must ask why everyone is so certain that Mohinder is going to die?! For one thing, he's not even a hero (at least, it hasn't been completely revealed yet if he is). Secondly, he's the freakin' narrarator, and even though he's done a *lot* of stupid things, he always redeems himself somehow (after all, he brought HRG back didn't he? He could've just let him die there). Thirdly, there are still a lot of places the writers could take his character.

Anywho, back to the subject...I doubt Hiro will die because he's one of the main reasons the ratings were so high in the first season. If they killed him off, they'd probably lose half their viewers and I doubt they're dumb enough to take that kind of risk. I think Peter is safe too, especially if they plan on bringing Sylar back into power, because whether you like him or not, you gotta admit that Peter is the only one who has even a small chance of beating the crap out of Sylar.

Anywho, that's just my take on it, but God knows I've been wrong about the show before, so who knows?

  2. The Original 12

Actually Matt, I believe that Angela's power is indeed persuasion. If you watch closely in the episode where she talks to Heidi about the "dark Petrelli secret" , you'll see that the camera closely follows the way she touches Heidi...rubbing her arms, smoothing her hair, etc. Unless the point of that scene was to establish that Angela has become a lesbian since her husbands death, I think it was clearly revealing that her power is persuasion :D

  3. Truth and Consequences

Cadalyst, it's true that there's no proof it's not there, but there's really no proof that it IS there, either. Ever since leaving India and getting away from the boy he spoke to, Mohinder hasn't had anymore of those types of dreams (at least, none that we've seen). And the fact that Peter seemed to use the same power when speaking to Charles Deveaux doesn't prove that he aquired that power from Mohinder, because it could have been Charles causing that and not Peter. I'm not saying that I definitely think Mohinder is powerless, but I'm not convinced he isn't, either. Regardless, I wasn't trying to attack anyone who holds the theory that Mohinder has a power, I was just trying to make the point that I don't think he'll be one of the ones who dies, because even if he does have a power, it hasn't been completely confirmed on the show, so technically he wouldn't be considered a hero.

  4. Peters Power is ridiculous.......

Yeah, this season is nowhere near as amazing as the first was. Hopefully by the time the writers end the strike, they'll get back to the good stuff.

  5. Truth and Consequences

Blop, I think the main reason Peter is so willing to trust Adam is because of the fact that he saved Nathan with his own blood. That was a cheap but clever trick on Adam's part. It seems like Peter would know better that to trust Adam over Hiro, though! He knows from experience that all Hiro is concerned with is saving the world, so why would he doubt him now and trust Adam? It really doesn't make much sense.

  6. Truth and Consequences

Yeah, I'm not a Maya fan, either. There really was no point in bringing her on the show at all. She's even dumber than Mohinder and her story is boring. Crying black tears that kills everyone around? Honestly, who came up with that? And I don't think Mohinder counts as a hero since he has no powers. The whole theory of him having the power of astral projection is just speculation and really seems unlikely. I'm sure if he had that power they would have gone somewhere with it by now.

  7. Truth and Consequences

I think Niki is a possibilty, because her story has gone absolutely nowhere this season, but I don't think Matt will be one of the ones to die. After all, he's just beginning to discover the full extent of his powers and there are a lot of places the writers could go with that next season. I'm not sure about Hiro, but I sincerely hope he survives. Hopefully he and Peter can have a little talk before attacking each other like complete idiots.

  8. Truth and Consequences

What?! Mohinder is freakin' awesome. He may not be the brightest crayon in the box, but at least he tries to do what he thinks is right, unlike most people on the show. Peter is the one who's really ticking me off about now.

Moving on...the clip from next week said that two heroes are going to die! Any ideas to who it'll be?

  9. Discuss the 8 paintings

Hmm...good point, Maj. But I think it was a little different with Sylar, because after all, the guy murdered his father. I can definitely understand how Mohinder would be cautious of trusting HRG after seeing the cold way he was willing to kill Molly in the first season, but he obviously trusted him enough to work with him for a while, and I don't think a few words from Bob would change his opinion that fast...especially considering the fact that Bob is obviously HRG's enemy and is just as willing to sacrifice people for what he considers to be the greater good. Not to mention, getting rid of HRG would help the company out, and I think that after the whole Monica situation, Mohinder is pretty disenchanted with the company.

Then again, I'm probably thinking about it too hard simply because I really don't want Mohinder to be the killer, haha. He's been so strong in his convictions up until now, I'd hate to see him lose that. But regardless of what happens, I'm just ready to hurry up and find out who did what!

  10. The Empath- Peter Petrelli

Wow, Anu naki...I never would have thought about the subtle religious undertones of the show, but now that you mention it...there ARE a lot of similarities between the Peter/Sylar and the Jesus/Satan situation. I didn't think much about it at the time, but on one of the commentaries from the first season, Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder) made a comment on how he'd been talking with Tim Kring about the religious undertones present in the show. For instance, many of the character's names (Isaac, Peter, Nathan, Gabriel, Eden, Matthew, Noah) were all mentioned in the Bible. And of course there's the whole "good conquering evil" aspect. Now that you've pointed out the biblical similarities, it really does all come together. Not that I'm saying Tim Kring is trying to preach or anything, because it's all done very subtley. But I definitely think it's there.
