A few things:
I do not think that they will be going with the Elle-Claire sisterhood of the traveling pants thing. In the preview for the next episode, they show kind of a face-off between the two. Claire might be looking for blood after HRG's death and hunts Elle down. That look they exchanged was simply one of curiosity for each other, I think, and nothing more. Elle looks at Claire and sees what she could have become had she not been imprisoned by her father. Elle is such a complex character that even when she wishes she could be in Claire's situation and be sympathetic to her, she targets her in the sky with West anyway. This just goes to show that Elle could swing either way. I've read interviews where Kristen Bell says that Elle is tricky in that she could be either good or bad. I'm guessing she turns on Bob in the end but only after she realizes that Claire cannot be taken down by her powers. However, this is kind of depressing as Elle is actually pretty awesome as a villain. Maybe she goes rogue, escapes from her dad and eventually becomes one of Sylar's allies, or even joins up with Peter and Adam?
As for the virus, if Maya is indeed responsible for the virus, this would make sense and would be some relief as we now know she is not totally useless. If she is the only one who can kill Sylar, then good riddance, because Sylar's character is so spent. There's really nothing else he can do. Besides, Zach Quinto is busy with Star Trek.
Adam cannot be good for two reasons: First: What made Kensei's character so intriguing in the end was not how he turns out to be invincible, but that he vows to make Hiro's life a living hell, which now sets him up to be a villain, as it is established that Hiro is a protagonist seeking justice for his father's death. Second, and this is more towards casting: David Anders plays a mean villain. If you've seen him in Alias, he can be a really convincing deceitful snake.
As for HRG and the whole Mohinder fiasco: the great thing about him shooting HRG is that he fulfilled Isaac's premonition, and this is always a good thing because it shows the story has structure. On this note, the other great thing is that people are starting to hope that the paintings don't come true, like in season 1, when some viewers think that Isaac can thwart his fate of being Sylar's prey. This time, we all hoped that HRG doesn't get shot. He does, but they vault this one up with the twist at the end, which I think has something to do with Peter and Adam and not Bob or Elle.
There's a lot of gray area, and this is always good, because it keeps us guessing. In season 1, Matt becomes one of the "bad" guys, capturing people with powers. I won't be surprised if he goes dark. in fact, that would actually be cool. Add some spice to that goody two shoes character. It would be great if Mohinder turned out to be the mastermind. I do not think he should be killed as I think the writers are firm in their stance that a non-power-endowed character should be central. Besides, he's the narrator!

how can regenerative blood 'kill' a virus? wouldn't it make a virus more resilient....after all, a virus is a living organism?
They are acting as if suresh's blood is the same as clair and adams.... the thing is that suresh's blood had anti-bodies to the shanti virus....
clair and adam's blood don't have antibodies, they have regenerative properties. I'd think that would mean that the blood would have the power to strengthen the virus not weaken it

As i recall, sylar's powers aren't naturally inherited, but learned. Unlike peter, who's gift is to naturally absorb other heros powers, sylar artificially became a 'super hero'
There are big holes in the story that need to be filled. First of all, during the first few episodes, sylar was in the middle of forest stranded. I thought they would have explained that away in '4 months ago'
My first guess early on was that sylar was really living in a lab, and that everything happening to him was fake...that would explain why he didn't absorb morphing girl's power...because he didn't kill her....he was in an illusion, kinda the way Nathan and Matt were in that one episode.
but then next episoide he wound up in the middle of the road in Mexico. They never did explain how that happened.
SO, i'm totally lost with the sylar story cuz it makes zero sense.
But then there's that episode last year where they show the everybody 5 years in the future....Sylar had the ability to morph into anyfigure...so maybe sylar DOES/Will have the abilies he stole...he is just blocked in doing anything
Anyway, back to this season, i'm really confused about time lines here, everything's twisted...
I think they cut things out cuz of the writer's strike...i hope they fill in the gaps when everybody gets back to work

Sorry this is short and a splatter of thought... it's late and I'm tired....
Has anybody considered that Adam might be Peter/Nathan's dad? Have we ever met their dad? No, I don't think so. And if it's someone in that picture, then there you have it! He lives forever, his parts don't stop working -- if you want to incestual (sp?), Adam could be everybody's father who has powers, but I wouldn't believe that... rather, Adam's their dad, and he's trying to make the world a better place, but we're not shown the whole truth of the matter. Angela Petrelli and Adam... it's not hard to believe. And that's how they got their powers. Others... Maya=virus also, only cure to Sylar, who's going to "discover" how Alejandro works I really want to see Monica use her power. It's kind of like Peter's in a way, except that Monica knows how to make things happen, and Peter's just capable of anything. I liked Peter and the irish girl. She was awesome. I got pretty attached. i wonder what would happen if mohinder's blood mixed with claire/adam?

Sorry, Believer, but I have to give a rebuttal for your theory.
No, Adam is not Nathan/Peter's father. In the episode where we first see the whole picture of the Old Heroes, Matt points to some of the faces in the picture and asks Nathan if he knows any of them. He identifies his mother and father, and his dad definitely did not look like David Anders. So, no, sorry to disappoint.
You are right, About Sylar. A lot of things have to be explained with regards to Sylar's character. It was really interesting in the beginning to see that he was totally restrained and confined in this mysterious place with Candice. I hope Candice is not dead, as her powers are very interesting and she's kind of a cross between Mystique and Stryker's son Jason, who can create illusions. Candice could have been working for Bob or Adam at that point. Someone raised the point that when Micah was stuck in Linderman's building with Candice during season 1, that Candice was on the phone with someone else who wasn't Linderman. This could be either Bob or Adam, IMO. Although the evidence would strongly support Bob, however he could have revealed that now. I mean, having Sylar in his possession definitely adds some bulletproofing to the company and he could have revealed that to Suresh if he wanted to. Now why would Adam want Sylar? It would be weird, too, because if Adam indeed had something to do with Sylar's imprisonment, why would he let him go, and if at that point he was already friends with Peter, Peter would have regained his memory and remembered battling Sylar and resisted Adam's decision to release him.
So many questions, only two episodes for answers.

Sup, Monk??
I'm actually a huge 311 fan I've been to many-a-show.
And being a bass player I idolize P-nut like none other.
Anyway - about the show... I hope the episode tonight finally gives us all the Sylar we want. Well... at least the Sylar I want!! He plays a villian so well.
As for the whole HRG thing - I can see the theory of Bob feeling bad about the whole daughter thing so he brings him back to life.
But what could this mean??? I MEAN HRG WAS DEAD WASN'T HE??? - Can someones blood bring back the dead?? If that's true we might have a really interesting 3rd season! =o
