Fight or Flight

Eventhough this is going so slow. It so much to think about.

    • I think Claire's new boyfriend has a secret and I think he's a bad guy. He's lying about something. He was explaining to Claire how to lie about spending time w/ him. It seem as though, the plot is introducing us to a side of him we haven't thought about. I can't wait to see his reaction when he finds out that Claire's dad is the same person that kidnapped him. From the painting it seems that either Claire or her new boyfriend is going to kill her dad.
    • Will Sylar kill Maya and her twin brother and will he try to take both or just Maya's powers? As we witness Maya has the power to kill Sylar.
    • How did Peter end up in that cargo container? Whoever put him in there knew that he might lose his memory and wanted him to remember that the one person he could trust is his brother Nathan. The only person I could think that would do that is his mother.
    • How did veronica mars girl find Peter so fast? Whoever her dad is, he's very powerful to be able to control her just by phone call.
    • I don't understand why the people that were together for last season finale didn't team up or did they and its unraveling in the episodes to come.

Even though the episode was a little slow and everyone is complaining about Monica's character getting a lot of screen time, there was some interesting plot development.1) Think about why Monica's story is getting attention. She is this season's Hiro. Just like Hiro last season was wondering why he has his power and what it was for, that he new he was meant for something bigger, then he got the comic book which layed it out for him. Monica is going through the same thing, same questions, and then Micah hands her the comic book with her on the cover... and it is her on the cover, is my guess, even though it said St. Joan (maybe alias). There is a reason her characrer is so hyped and we will find out very soon. 2) Nathan is not hard to figure out, I think... He took peter flew up in the sky, said see ya bro and flew off and let peter explode. That is why he keeps seeing himself half burned because the blast hit him in the ass on the way out! 3) There were some comments last week about the boogeyman maybe taking control of heroes. I think this is how nakamura died. Seems for now boogeyman is the main suspect in killing off the old generation. Angela was shown her worst fears and attacked herself in jail only being pulled out of it by parkman like he did with nathan during the fight. Otherwise it needed to be someone who had teleportation, flight, walk through walls, or invisibility that could have gotten in that jail to get angela or survive off the roof after going over with nakamura. Which would support the idea that the boogey man is taking control of heroes. 4) Someone mentioned that Nathan was real interested about going to matt's dads place. he difinately has the motivation to kill off the old generation. but his Mom, only if the boogeyman is behind it. It is interesting that everywhere nathan is one of those pictures show up. Remember Nathan bummped into Yando with the newspaper and there was a picture of nakamura. then he shows up at his apartment to meet his mom inside and when she leaves there is the picture of her on the wall. Soooo ... to conclude this episode was not so bad and is just a teaser to some really cool S*** that's about to happen. I am anticipating next week like nothing else.

Did anyone else catch Matt speak to Nathan with his mind  during their nightmare fight? If I'm not mistaken, (having seen the episode only once) Nathan was choking Matt to the point of not being able to say the words "wake up" audibly, but you still hear Matt saying the words clearly amid the sound effects normally heard when Matt is shown reading someone's mind.

Mohinder isn't making the brightest choices obviously, but I'm sure they'll key in together somewhere. I agree on this season likely being Monhinder's last... the bad decision making seems to be showing him stressing out about things becoming more unpredictable than he imagined they would be and making him insecure.

Despite some of the character development being dragged a bit, I do love how each show takes you a little deeper into the story. No pointless episodes so far. Just continuous fleshing out of this seasons theme (the Old Heroes) while still applying enough of the younger/new heroes to keep it interesting. I hope this show sees many many seasons.

I wanted to slap Matt for trusting his psycho father long enough to lose the cuffs.  Hey! Moron! Your deadbeat dad wants to bond AFTER he put your little girl into a coma?!  Are you frakking insane?

Mohinder certainly managed to one-up Matt on the poor parenting choices this week.  Molly's two dads need to take some parenting classes if they want that kid to make it through the season.

I thought Nikki and Jessica reintegrated in the season finale?  Could she just be faking it in an effort to destroy the company?  If so, she's far more likely to succeed than the guys.  And it would make up for all her season 1 whining.

I think that Elle is Matt's sister.  It would explain her homicidal urges.  And it would be in character for Matt's dad to be using his Company connections to keep tabs on all the older heroes.  That would make Hiro's dad's (forgot his name) last words a lot more logical.

Okay well I give up on predictions. The only prediction I am going to make is that Volume 2 will end in the middle of the season. Lets say right at the end of November sweeps so a new volume will begin in January. And hopefully Sylar will get his power back. And the scared kid who wants to be some body is getting old. The writers need to pull their heads out of their asses and get peter up on his feet. Perhaps the reason why this volume is going so slow is because they are going to end it soon. I think I remember the creators saying they will end volume 2 early and have some episodes from volume 3 this year. Hopefully Peter remembers he is radio active...which is probably a defense since once ted got shot he could not control anything...the body reacted to run the predator off...hopefully he will blow up and kill off some of these characters...I like it but if they get too fancy they will lose the audience and then we lose Heroes. STOP SCREWING AROUND.

Draconismoi I like your idea about Nikki. Hopefully she is doing something. Anything. They need to cut back on the characters I think. We only really care about a few of them and the killer story line could have been enough for a season. Nikki and Peter are still saying the same things from last season. I hope they don't turn heroes into Smallville. A great idea that gets stuck repeating itself. Like how Clark still can't fly,..what a joke and how there just happens to be Kryptonite everywhere he goes...more kryptonite in the world of smallville then there is water. Earth should be in a nuclear winter with the amount of meteor rock on that series. What a joke. Heroes hopefully won't go down that path and get sylar his powers back ASAP.

There you go Mike. Someone else who's anticipating Sylar getting his powers back.

Sylar is one of the best characters on the show and the way he portrays a villian is amazing.

    Get those powers back Sylar!!

    Woop some a$$!

    Some questions and comments:

    1) How does the company know where Monica is since her powers just emerged?  Is she tied to an older family?  Remeber that Linderman had files on Niki and DL and knew all about Micah. Maybe the grandmother has ties to the original 12.

    2) It does not seem likely that all "new" heroes are related to the original 12 as some have posted. There are too many on the map from Suresh's research. The toaster melter that Sylar killed, the hearing-mechanic lady, Molly's parents and others seem to represent random occurrences of the mutation. (the principal characters in the show do seem to have strong ties that will emerge as the season continues).

    3) Nathans' hand was bandaged, so that seems to remove the theory that he has the same power as Peter. (no need to hide it from anyone by faking a wound since no one was there to see him cut himself.)

    4) Could the split pesonality in Niki/Jessica be related to the mysterious virus. If so, could Nathan have it now? The constant mirror interactions with the burned-face Nathan are similar to the Jessica/Niki interactions (I still dont get why Niki had the symbol on her shoulder, but it made Jessica physically different). Could the virus be related to Peter's near killing of the Irish guy in the previous episode (his dark side coming out).

    5) I still think the roaches from last season and this season are very significant and related to something bad, maybe even to boogeyman-Matt's dad (look at this week's graphic novel). If a bad guy can use the roaches to see things, he can track anyone anywhere.

    6) On Kaito's killer, if the killer is Matt's dad, the entire event that made him fall could have been an illusion in his mind from his worst nightmares. That could make the hooded man anyone that he was afraid of (Mr. Petrelli/Kensei, Peter (his own son?), or someone we do not know. We might have seen the "dream" from inside of Nakamura's head and we might have witnessed an external view during Mama Petrelli's "dream."

    7) Yes, I do think that Kensei is Mr. Petrelli.
