I'm not so sure about Adam having powers beyond regeneration. Even when Peter shot the lightning at him, if you look closely at Adam's hand it looks kind of fried and crisp as the lightning hits it, and then heals quite quickly. If Adam was an empath (I love that word, by the way), he wouldn't need Maury Parkman as his "weapon" and he wouldn't need to ally himself with Peter. An empath with evil intentions could pretty much go about do whatever he/she pleased without the help of anybody -- and Sylar is a perfect example of that (although probably not a true empath like Peter, his ability to acquire other people's powers is similar enough). What we know about Adam, via Bob's story to Nathan, is that he is one of the 12 and that Linerman was his disciple. I'm not sure Bob showing Nathan the article about the snow storm in Florida was an example of what Adam can do. I think Bob was illustrating that people with special abilities can make a good difference in the world, but that Adam didn't see it that way -- he wanted to use his power over others, not to help others. That Kensei's symbol has become so prevalent in the world of Heroes indicates at one point Adam held considerable sway over the others. If he is indeed killing them off, it could be because of the rift that developed in the group. Well, all this is probably for naught anyways because the writers (PLEASE COME BACK TO WORK) are good at throwing twists at us. But it's still fun to theorize.Posted 11/7/2007 12:56:03 PM #

I doubt that West and Claire are brother and sister. They were seriously going at it on the couch in the last episode and that would just be messed up on so many levels. West is creepy enough without bringing incest into it :D

amm it is elle that he kisses... and yah kensei isnt an empath it makes no sense. Its clear that it was Kensei that somehow fixed nathan's face after the bomb and maybe it had something to do with persuading Peter. One thing that i dont think people have mentioned is the haitian. I think that Peter is able to get back his memories because well technically he did absorb the power of the haitian which is well i guess it can be called memory manipulation? So yah so thats how he can remember because he has that power, because its clear throughout the show that if the haitian wipes your memory you pretty much cant remember. Im looking forward to see the terrible act that maya committed, maybe itll finally make her an interesting character.

who said nathan actually burnt his face?
lets face it adam's power is the same as claire and so far we have seen no different.
I think the whole nathan's burnt face thing was either,
1) To show his struggle with what happened to peter or
2) He has come into contact with a person with the same powers as Linderman (can heal others) or
3) As he is claire's father he could have self healing powers that we are not aware of. Peter has multiple powers why not nathan?

What if you take Adam/Kensei's power of regeration/Immortality and think of it in this way - Maury Parkman told Matt that he started out reading minds just like Matt BUT that doing it for so long that he was able to expand on that and be able to trap people in their own nightmares. What else can he do - well I suppose he could project thoughts into some one and they might comply, he just chooses to use it for his own advantage. Adam/Kensei, if a regen/immortal way not be able to expand on that to others, or at least be able to give some of his bloob maybe and that would regenerate others. I think that is how he could convince Peter to be on his side - he is a do gooder - by saving Peter's brother Nathen. Adam/Kensei now has another, very,very, powerful ally in which to act upon his revenge!!!!! Bum, bum, bummmmmm!!!!!!!

Yeah, Adam could have bribed (or at least tempted) Peter with healing Nathans burns if he would do his dirty work for him. It's normally against Peters nature to do anything to hurt others, but if it meant being able to heal his brother (who sacrificed himself to save Peter and the world) then, I think Peter would do it.
If it wasn't Adam directly healing Nathan, he could have known someone else who could (Linderman?)

I believe Nathan's "burns" are more a metaphor than anything else. I think when he was seeing that version of himself, he was seeing his guilt for letting Peter die, because until this episode he was unaware that Peter survived. This show could get really cheesy really fast if they started handing out powers to different people just to make it convenient for the story line.Posted 11/8/2007 3:06:34 PM #
