Guys, "opening Pandora's box" is an expression. Sure, in Heroes-land it could mean something completely different and something actually tangible, but in my opinion we shouldn't be stressing over what the box is, because I thought Grandma Petrelli was just saying that to mean that by shooting Nathan, they have unleashed a world of badness and it's only going to get worse.
If Sylar stole Nightmare Man's ability, that would be absurd. Although it would throw Molly into a total loop, I don't want to see Sylar gain any more power. What I want is for these evil characters to show some humanity once in a while. Like Bob. SOmetimes he wavers and he shows some fatherly love towards Elle, and then in a flash he turns into this manipulative monster. I think Sylar could use a serious humbling moment. When he lost his powers it didn't seem like he was suffering much. I mean, he "killed" Candace, escaped from the company's clutches, and was able to inflict some terror on Alejandro and that kid who they broke out of jail. I enjoyed the scenes in season 1 when Sylar was with his mother. I had preferred it if he didn't kill her and had just fled, but hey, whatever. Ultimately my point is that some villains are better characters if they are given more dimension, instead of just the power-hungry demon that they're usually portrayed to be. Sylar would do well to get attached to someone else and then have them betray him or something like that. He needs more interesting plot points that's for sure.
