Powerless

I totally agree ElvenProdigy, that Sylar could use some more dimensions to his character. I was hoping that he would almost turn good for a while when he lost his power. Then have someone betray him that would turn him back into a more sly evil character.

They should make his character try to find balance between his selfish desires and what is good. Just like you said, ElvenProdigy

Total agreement here. Though I always believed Sylar is a hero. He's just the victim of a rotten power. And decided to stop fighting it. If you ask me, I think Nathan is the true arch villian, it seems poetic enough for me. Especially when Sylar was pretending to be him in the future and he said that Nathan had already turned on his own kind before he killed him. So that's why I think he's still alive. And I think once Mohindra finds a way to permanately shut off Sylars main ability, he'll be able to be good. Then Peter and Sylar can team up and kick the shit out of big bro.

And I disagree with what was previously stated. Serial killers don't just go cold turkey. They're driven by instinct and a need to kill which in this case is Sylars power.

I think they are setting up Sylar to become good, He was about to walk away and leave Suresh and Molly alive. He only picked up the Gun to shoot when he saw El. He knows how things work, thats his power.  He knows the food chain of history and how it is an "evolutionary imparative". No shades of gray in his thinking. Remember he called Suresh in Volume one when he thought he was going to kill innocent people. Remember he takes power away from people who do not deserve it. In his view everyone is like Adam or someone bad. I think the Gary shades of life will be used in Volume 3 and Villians. So many different kinds if you think about.

What?! Peter and Sylar should not and will not team up and fight Nathan, OrigamiKiller... Sylar said Nathan had already turned against his kind in episode '5 years gone' after Nathan let Peter Explode. But Nathan chose a different path and desires to do the right thing. I think Nathan always has been a genuine good person, just life and his mom pushed him to be something harsher and more cold about things.

Sylar might have some good points, but overall I think he will always slip into the dark side. Peter and Nathan are brothers and need eachother. I think they will continue to try and find the right thing to do...

Why do you think Nathan is the true arch villian...?

Im really confused about one thing. When Peter finally destroys the vile with the virus, and the smoke clears, You can see that the dust on his hand slips into his sleeve.  Does anyone have any ideas on this?

I have a theory.. could West be Nathan?

Also isn't Heroes season 2 bare religious. Especially about the time travelling (oh i can't mess with God's judgement even though i'm travelling through time and still preventing people dieing). WTF stopping time means you can fix anything, it's too powerful to be a power as well as travelling through time, bloody stupid. Also i was convinced that Adam's name linked to him being the first man on earth 'Adam and Eve' meaning he could be alot older than 400 years (maybee had his mind blanked). Also the father of Claire was healed from a shot in the head by Claires blood so why the hell does Nathan's mother say shoot the healers in the head to kill them.

Also pridictions for next series which better be as good as i hope...

Sylar has all his previous powers and does a simular thing to season 1 with gaining more powers and being 'special', then dies in a finally with Peter, who turns evil himself (power consumes us all).

Adam is found or manages to escape (Kill Bill style)

The episode was so-so, but what do you expect from a midseason finale?

First off, Nathan is not dead. If the episode proved anything it's that peter is still too young to make all the right decisions, and he needs Nathan to be his grounding force.

And that may prove to be Nathan's role after all.  If season 3 is going to be all about the rise of the villains, then it would make sense that the heroes would have to band together more concretely than last season's temporary alignment.  There would need to be a leader, why not Nathan?  He has come quite far from being the egotistical ass he was in the beginning.  If angela is the true ringleader it would make sense to have her son be the leader of the heroic faction.

There is definitely something up with west.  Isn't it odd he would want to pull the cheerleader stunt but not want to go public.  How ironic would it be to have him team up with HRG? If daddy defects, West goes after claire.  And of course HRG shot Nathan.

Nikki's dead, killed during a heroic action.  Good way to do-in a morally ambiguous asnd relatively underused character.

Mohinder really needs to stop being more of a burden than he is.  How many times can he play the male damsel in distress act?  Give him a secret lab and keep him there, ala Batman's Alfred.

As for Micah, he and Molly are the next gen heroes, they have to survive, though Micah definitely needs a stable guardian.  Maybe if there was a central compound of sorts - train the kids, give mohinder a place to go (and stay)...

And for the love of god, where the hell is inviso guy?

Well you see Monk. This is my theory, every comic book has at least one Archvillian. And they don't always start off evil but their character is usually driven towards gaining power, which is exactly how Nathan started out. Then something dramatic happens like what happened with Adam, that propels them on a darker path. Nathan never gave a crap about other heroes. Yes, in the end he did save the world but maybe that was just for his brother and daughters sake than his own. That doesn't mean shit though, cause this ain't no comic book. Why would they even mention that he turned on his own kind if we never find out what he did. It is inevitable that he embraces his true nature, didn't Isaac Mendez say you can't fight the future.

As for Sylar, his journey to visit his mother was proof of his inate goodness. As soon as she cut herself though his abilitiy kicked in. I know for most of this season he didn't have his power and he still killed people. But he was just used to having his power wasn't he. For now most of what we've seen of Sylar he has been a loner. I think as soon as he gets someone that he truely cares about he'll turn into an extreme version of Mr. Bennet. I believe he will stay evil for a long time but right at the end he will redeem himself and prove he is a true heroe.

By the way dabesthinge, Hiro hasn't really changed anything with his time travelling. He went back and helped Kensei and ended up creating Kensei. In the first season he tried to save that girl and she died anyway. Hiro never changes the present, or the part of time that he comes from. He changes possible outcomes of the future.
