Reply to Posti agree this finale was blah. too many loose ends that are being left for far too long---> grrr writers strike. Im really interested in the vault and i think it holds a lot of heroes goodies that shall come in to play in the future. Did you see the cards? yea gambit-inspired hero on the way! okay different show but since theyve already drawn inspiration from comic books why not??? More creative powers need to appear...

I think this episode is crap. Sylar is getting all his power back? So what's going on with all the efforts in the first season? If they really get Sylar back like season one, I guess they have used up their ideas and don't know what to do. This season's new characters all suck!

now that Peters head is completely removed from Adams asshole, he will be ready to fuck Sylar up next time they meet. I can't wait to see that one.

i don't get why people are hating on this finale.
It's a MID season finale. It's SUPPOSE to leave cliffhangers.
I didn't think it was amazing. but it was pretty damn good.
If you ask me, I think Bennet shot Nathan.

Ok well this finale was alright. I still like it and it had some o my god moments like Nikki's death pretty cool wasn't it. And Maya I thought for sure she was one of them then she comes back boo!!!!! Get rid of Maya!!!!
Mohinder what an idiot!!!! I can get over the stupidity and how easisly manipulated he has been lately. He has really fallen far for me and honestly he really should have died.
Nathan's death although I saw it coming when they where standing up there it still shocked me and it actually brought a tear to my eye I love Nathan and I really hope he isn't dead!!!! Nathan is so important though to Peter I mean look at everything he has talked Peter into or out off!!! Without Nathan Peter is nothing in my book!!!! O and I think HRG probably killed him in fact i'm pretty damn sure since he is back with the lame company!!!
How is Claire stupid I don't get this. And I don't get at all why Bennent is back with the comapny WTF for??? Can someone please elabrate because i'm totally confused on that.
O and Momma Petrelli is so evil basically she was willing to let both her sons die at one point or the other for some greater good I wanna know what that is!!! O and what is this Pandora's box deal that one is going to bug me!!!!
The ending I thought was dumb though o wow Sylar might have his power back whoopity freakin doo that was perhaps the most dissapointing part for me I was expecting a better end or beginning I should say to Villians. Adam will be back come on the chapter is called Villans and this Pandora's Box probably has something to do with it.
I will agree so far Season 1 is by far the best but I wouldn't say Season 2 was horrible it was okay with some very good episodes and some so so one's.

Calm down, children.
All right. That was something.
Now I'm not going to compare finales between season, because it looks like you guys have exhausted that topic to death. But I will say this: let's take the finale for what it is, a mid-season cliffhanger. There will be questions, and this was a great way to set up volume 3 AND wipe the slate clean as well, what with the whole WGA strike still going on.
A few things:
1. When Nathan got shot, it was a complete shock to me. I know some people speculated that he might be offed, but I never thought he would be the one. I have to say this: the team did an excellent job timing those two (or three?) shots. I literally gasped when that happened. Classic moment. As someone else here said: How very Who Killed JR? Now, here are my theories as to who shot Nathan. Someone mentioned Future Peter. That could be a possibility. However, it seemed that whoever Grandma Petrelli was talking to on the phone when her kid got shot had something to do with it. She couldn't very well be talking to Future Peter, could she? Because that would be extremely confusing and strange. Another point someone else raised was West. Hey, this could be the exact time and place that the guy shows his potential in the show. For one, he wants his powers to be kept secret; he was willing to let Claire go just to keep it secret, so we're pretty certain that he will do anything to get what he wants at this point. Another thing is, since he can fly, he would have been able to get to that press conference faster than say, HRG. I know HRG seems like the most sensible answer to the Who Shot Nathan question, but I don't think so. HRG may be many things, but I don't think he would agree to do this.
2. Elle
Let me just reiterate how much Kristen Bell has wowed me this season. She is so much fun to watch that I hope she gets more screen time in volume 3. The part where she watches HRG bounce the ball against the wall was hilarious. Plus, she is such a complex and interesting character. There are so many things that the writers can do with her. I knew immediately when she saw the surveillance video of Sylar and Mohinder that she would go after Sylar to win her daddy back. Her Electra complex is interesting. For a split second, when she showed up at Isaac's loft and Sylar shoots her, I thought she was going to die and at that point I was ready to shut the TV off and swear off the show. But when she came back and Mohinder recognizes her for saving them, she gets this really funny look on her face, and we can see that she's slowly realizing that there's more to her world than daddy. She would be really interesting to watch next volume.
3. Maya/Mohinder/Molly/Sylar
Okay, annoying, but whatever. We can't do anything about it. Seriously, Sylar's character is spent. Don't get me wrong, I adore Zach Quinto and would hate to see him leave the show, but I just can't think of anything they can do with Sylar that can capture my interest. Maya being the reversed death was hilarious. When Mohinder gave her the blood you could probably hear every single home in America going, "NO! NOT HER!" I mean, after all, she's extremely annoying. I wonder what they want to do with her next season/volume. But hey, that one surprised me, so good job, guys. Along with Nathan's shooting, too.
4. Adam/Peter/Hiro
Peter Petrelli, why are you such an idiot? Why do you insist on reading other people's minds but not the guy you have the most doubts about? It's hilarious. He trusts Adam so much because of the whole Nathan life saving thing, but seriously, when everyone around you is telling you you're doing the wrong thing, you have to wonder, "are you doing the wrong thing?" I wanted to just grab Peter and slap him to his senses. As for Hiro, great work with that. I figured that Peter wouldn't kill Hiro, and would merely knock him unconscious. What I don't understand is why Adam didn't attempt to kill Hiro. Sure, he pointed his sword at him when they were finally in the lab, but Hiro was right there, passed out on the floor, and Adam had a mighty pointy sword.
The whole thing about Adam being buried alive? Nice touch, sets him up for future appearances, which I like because I love David Anders.
5. HRG/Claire/Bob
You know, when HRG came through that door and he said "hey, Clairebear", I knew something fishy was up. First, I thought it was Candace, back from pseudo-death or whatever the hell they called her sudden disappearance from the first episode with Sylar. But I guess it turned out to be the real HRG? Who knows?
Anyway, I am pretty excited about the next volume. I hope we'll have a good one. Unfortunately, it's going to be a year's wait. And we all know what that means: reruns. God, who wants to see Maya crying black tears over again? Not me.

Oh, and I forgot a few things:
Niki/Micah/Monica
Niki's death was predictable and kind of pathetic. If you're going to have a former hero who we've seen cry rivers in the previous season and for some, have bonded with, let her exit with some grace, and not as a victim of a burning building. I mean, I had expected her to confront these stupid morons who went ballistic because of a stupid bag of comic books, and get shot or something. But fire? Really? We all knew that when she said "I'm right behind you" when she let Monica go first, she was going to get it. So, yeah. No surprises there. I mean, they could have let her get shot, and Micah finds her and tries to call the police but Niki says it's too late, and instead, gives her son some words of wisdom, instead of traumatizing the poor kid.
So I agree with what someone else said earlier, that Monica better show she's worth something next volume if she has to replace Niki.
So here are a few questions that need to be answered:
1. Who shot Nathan?
2. Why did the virus seem to be absorbed into Peter's hand when he destroyed it? Does this mean it's not over?
3. Who was Grandma Petrelli talking to on the phone about "opening Pandora's box"?
4. What is Maya's purpose on the show? I mean, really. If she's getting the magical miracle blood instead of Nathan and Niki, why is she worth all this? Please, someone give me a reason.
5. Is Adam going to escape from that coffin? And related, what is Sylar going to do next?
6. What the hell is Peter's Irish damsel going to do stuck in the future? Poor girl. Haha it's kind of funny. Guess you should choose your boyfriends wisely.
7. Where the hell is the Haitian? Is Candace still alive?
8. Can Peter's blood heal others, or is it just Adam's and Claire's blood? Can Sylar's blood heal others now, too? What about HRG's?
9. The press conference...what is the fall out going to be like? Nathan gets shot, he's about to announce something important about his ability, what is the public's reaction (apart from the usual, you know, chaos and utter befuddlement)

i didn't want nathan to die, i liked him and i thought his character had a lot of untapped potential. but...i really don't want him to come back to life now that he's been shot. if this happened there would be too many immortal people running around. the show would be set up for disaster. everyone would turn into a peter or an adam. i think the blood should just work like medicine works for normal people--it fixes whatever the problem is at the time. just as normal people can get sick with the same thing at different points in thier life and take medicine each time to get better, so the blood should only heal or bring back to life one time and if you get shot dead again, another miracle blood injection would be needed to bring you back.
