I love how passionate the fans of this show are. It adds to the show's allure. Here are some random thoughts on the finale (having slept on it and reading some of the other posts).
1. Peter's power. We don't know for certain that his blood doesn't have the healing powers of Adam's and Claire's. He absorbed their other powers, so why wouldn't he also possess the the power to heal people with his blood? Although I think the writers/producers opened a can of worms with this aspect of the power. Kind of silly to think that any character killed could potentially be revived. That said, and hating to be practical about this, I'm thinking whether or not they bring Nathan back will have to do with Adrian Pasdar and whether or not he wants to remain on the show. Further to this, I don't believe a dose of the blood makes the recipient immortal. It's just a cure, not an infusion of abilities.
2. Sylar. What is the Company's plan for him? Was he just a guinea pig for them to test the virus on? Or do they have a have greater plans for him? I also think we should put to rest any talk about him teaming up with anybody, He has proven time and again he has no interest in working with another person who has abilities. His interest is killing that person and taking their abilities. If he does dig up Adam, which I doubt, it will be to kill him, not work with him. I'm still curious if Sylar has regained all of his abilities, or if he has to start all over again.
3. HRG. What, exactly, made him change his tack? Obviously, there is some sort of inherent danger in the heroes going public with their abilities. The threat of that got HRG to realign himself with the company. He was genuinely concerned when Bob told him Claire was going public. Why? What is the real threat? Is there somebody out there, outside The Company, who would like to hunt down these people with powers? Was The formation of The Company maybe a front so these 12 could ally themselves for protection? Is the one Angela Petrelli was talking to on the phone this threat? Methinks this threat to the heroes will be the gist of Chapter 3. Oh, and I still believe HRG is the one who shot Nathan. It's within that motive to ensure the Heroes remain safely anonymous. He is also a link to Claire that maybe needs to be eliminated to ensure her continued anonymity and safety. It will be interesting to see her reaction to Nathan being shot. Her Dad gets shot, then inexplicably comes back to life only to have her biological father shot, possibly by her Dad? Like sands through the hour glass . . . .
This writers' strike can't end soon enough
