i was thinking about the symbolism of the eclips and how it brought out a lot of the heroes powers. but, if its in their dna wouldnt they have had the powers before? and didnt some of them know about their powers even before the eclipse? didnt clairs dad reveal to her that he's been trying to keep her from finding out about her power since she was little, by keeping bandaids and casts on her even though he knew that she had healed? i could be remembering things wrong though......
i really like West's charecter, hes a sweetheart... i dont want him to be a bad guy... but i do think its wierd that he's paid SOO much attention to clair. sure, shes the new girl and shes pretty so eveyone is going to notice her---- but what made him so certain that she was different? i dont think hes a bad guy still yet.. he seems too genuine... like peter.
it seems like the writers are geting less creative with powers... Because powers seem to be repeting themselves, when its people that are related it makes sence, but what about West and Nathan flying?.... too many people can fly as it is. and then monica with her ablity to learn things fast off the tv--(i really think thats a stupid power.. depending on how much Tv she watches)- reminds me of that redhead girl that remembered everything she read. kensei can heel himself like clair - but im assuming they're related..... i think im ganna be annoyed if they're not.
i wanted to make sence of all the family connections and powers...: clair can heal herself- her real mom can make fire/ nathan can fly micha talks to computers- his mom has superstrength and a split personality/ dad could merge through things?... micas cousin monica learns things from the tv (and since monicas parents are dead from katrina, we'll nevr know if they had powers) Matt parker can read minds- and his dad can get into peoples heads.. makes sence. mohinder seems to have a power i forgot the word for it.... but that was his dead sister visiting him in his dream right? wasnt that her power? helping people through their dreams? if im right then i think his power is similar, just not as strong..
im sure i had more to ramble about i just cant think of it anymore... too much on my mind at once.

I like in this episode, when Sylar is in the car with Maya and Alejandro and she asks him what is name is, Sylar looks down at his broken, cracked watch with the name 'Sylar' on it and says his name is Gabriel... HIs watch is symbolic of himself, his gift is broken and now he's just 'Gabriel'

Monica has the power of physical photographic memory, means that she can replica any movement she has seen, wether its on tv or in live motion,.

Consider the photo of the twelve heroes elders. Could one of them be Sylar's father? It seems like many of the current generation of heroes have a link to those in the photo. Sylar worked in his father's timepiece/watch repair shop. The symbolism of the timepiece could mean Sylar's father could bend time like Hiro. If so, and we have yet to be introduced to Sylar's father, and we do not yet know if Sylar's father's desires and ambitions, could it stand to reason that he is altering events (as it appears Hiro is) to impact current and future events?

Hmmm interesting ideas about sylar's father! I never thought about his father.......
Makes sense that his pa would be part of the group or maybe he left it and became evil like sylar....

umm how do we know that? so far shes only shown us her power from copying things on the tv....

about sylar's father, considering sylar's ability has something to do about opening up the brain and reading how it works (reading someone else's mind) and the heroes we have now whose power is mind base like the parkmans matt and his dad the boogeyman, could it be possible that sylar is parkman's half brother?
just throwing it out there.

Monica also copied Micah's piano playing, so it seems like she can copy anything she's seen, on tv or something someone else is doing.
I wonder if this will translate to other powers... if she sees Nathan flying, will she also be able to fly? Interesting idea, but it might be a stretch.
