I thought when Sylar was telling the brother that he was going to kill him and his sister was awesome, and sylar looked so evil.

Maybe the Hiro/Kensei story is a lot deeper than we realise.  Mayb Kensei knew that it was Hiro that changed his life when he kissed the Princess, and turned Kensei evil.  Maybe Kensei knew that if Hiro went back in time and change the kiss the future would change and Kensei wouldnt be the killer.

I think this season Claire becomes evil and Monica is the good one. Maybe Monica and Claire will get into it. (Peter would love that)

Hiro will use his sword.  I thought one of the paintings was of Hiro fighting someone (kensai?).

They were in New York because Peter brought them into the future with Hiro's power.

"Adam" couldn't be Peter's father.  He would have left a note saying "Dad".  Could be yet another new character, but no other actor was accounted for in the promos.  If it is, that's sneaky of NBC!

It seems funny that Kensai is related to Peter given that his whole family has dark hair and he's blonde (seems out of place).  You're probably right though given the whole Claire/regeneration connection.  Perhaps a more distant relative (someone mentioned grandfather).

That's not Niki, that's Jessica lying.  Niki was the one choking Bob in episode 5 and got tazered by Mohinder.

I think West is going to be a bad influence on Claire in the "you're better than them and your parents because of your power" way.  Sort of how Sylar is influencing Maya although he's (Sylar) being more devious.

I think Kensai is the hooded figure, but I think the writers are going to put a twist in the whole murder thing and turn it into a "I had to kill them so that I could save everyone else" deal.  They could draw in the fact that some/all of the first generation is becoming evil.  Perhaps the evacuation is connected (eg. the only way he can save New York is to eliminate all of them and prevent them from destroying New York).

I think Peter's memory was taken by the Haitian, that Elle is working for HRG ("Dad"), and now they're looking for him since he escaped/was released.  Not sure though how the Haitian would have ended up in Haiti 4 months later.

As far as the 8 paintings

    1. We have already seen Kaito's death.

    2. Hard to see whose dead body that is on the stairs but I believe that was Claire when West dropped her  (.  Went back on the dvr and her body was in the same pose as the painting.

    3. The vial is obviously the variant of the virus that was going to be tested on Monica.

    4. Nikki/Jessica PO'ed about something.

    5. Hiro fights Kensei in the past

    6. The painting on the far right of a man with a shocked look on his face is Peter in the future (preview of next episode Out of Time has Peter with same expression when he looks upon dead bodies in some facility)

    7. Mohinder all beat up shoots someone (Maybe he shoots HRG)

    8. HRG shot in the eye (Maybe by Mohinder 7/8 picture has Mohinder shooting) Claire and West making out in the background.

Maybe HRG will survive getting shot in the eye then he will have to wear a eye patch and have a Horned Rimmed Monocle on the other. LOL!!!

I think that West will have something to do with the shooting of HGR, remember he says that it is the thought of the horn rimmed glasses guy that haunts his nightmares...

I am intrested in knowing how Molly is centered in all of this, is it possible that she could be the killer, using her powers in a way similar to Professor X from the X-Men and attacking people via some astral projection..

That perhaps is not true since the original Heroes all seem to know who the attacker is...

Maybe it's the redhead woman in the picture who of all of the orginal heroes...

Adam is someone who knows Peter, and about the company...

If he is Kenszi that would mean that Kenzsi is an immortal, and perhaps the common link to all the Heroes...

Having slept on it, I'm more convinced than ever that Kensei is Kaito's killer and am fairly certain he is also the Petrelli's father. With his regeneration abilities, it's not too hard to imagine him living for hundreds of years. If you consider how Parkman's dad was able to manipulate and develop his power over time, it's not unreasonable to assume that Kensei could learn to manipulate his cell regeneration, thereby giving him the ability to age his appearance. Just a thought. As I said in an earlier post, Bennett has to have a power. I'm sure the writers didn't give him one last year because he was a supposed to be a minor character with a limited role. But it only makes sense that a foot soldier of the company (or maybe somebody higher?!?) has a power. His interaction with Ivan the Russian last night strongly indicates he's hiding some ability. I unfortunately didn't get a good look at the paintings, but agree the broken vial is that strain of the virus Mohinder was asked to inject in Monica. I'm thinking the virus is what causes the evacuation of New York, a la the Resident Evil video games. it will be really interesting to see how Sylar tries to get his powers back; as for Claire and West, I find myself rather uninterested in that storyline. Although I am waiting for the scene when she eventually encounters Sylar, Maya and Alejandro in her car. There is a connection there and you know the writers are going to exploit that. But this season definitely needs to get more direction, and hopefully the quest to save new York, Pt. II will provide that. I'm expecting the Nov. 12 episode (Four Months Ago) to be the turning point of this season, pull most everything together and head on the path to an exciting conclusion/cliffhanger for Season Three.

I haven't had a chance to see the episode yet but I had a few niggles about some of the stuff being said up here and I felt like putting in my two cents LOL

HRG being a 'hero'. That just ain't gonna happen. It would totally undermine the point of the character. He is the guy that doesn't have powers but still kicks everyone's ass due to his single-mindedness. Yes he is the Han Solo of Heroes albeit with glasses. He doesn't need powers. He has wit, intelligence, a taser and a gun. Why then should he be able to teleport or whatever? Where would the strength of that character be, the whole idea of him? The writers won't go there because he is their normal "tough" guy. And besides in Company Man Thompson says that the Company pairs up the normals with the heroes to work in pairs. "That's how we do it here, keeps us all honest." The Company would not, WOULD NOT, pair two heroes together. Especially not HRG and the invisible man. If he does have an ability it's only the power to kill and not flinch. Thats what the Russian will have taught him, to completely shut out his feelings and just remain incredibly, heartlessly ruthless. It's the ability to do the unthinkable despite what it does to his soul. He said himself that he's fine with "morally grey" and he's fine with shooting in cold blood.

The picture of HRG shot in the eye with Claire smooching in the background? Just apparently ignoring the body? Doesn't that remind you guys of something? The last time a body was left lying around while two other characters went about their daily business? Zane Taylor. Sylar left him lying in the kitchen while he chatted up Mohinder. Just had a thought that perhaps when Sylar learns to reuse his powers he would go after Claire again. Hiro stabbed him for crying out loud and put him out of commission for ages. You know Sylar is going to want to regenerate and he's always been after that special ability of Claire's. Perhaps he masquerades as West with Candice's ability to get close to her. But he would have to shoot poor HRG first. They've had their fair share of fights, I think Sylar would still hold a grudge.

Here's a weird idea that will make no sense at all and has nothing to back it up. Kensei is Claire's grandfather. But he is not a Petrelli. Have we met Meredith Gordon's parents? No we haven't. They could still be related but through another branch of the family. And let's be totally crazy and say that Elle is Claire's cousin on her mother's side too and that Bob is Meredith's brother or something. Why don't we really push the boat out and say all Heroes are related to each other making it sick and incredibly wrong. LOL why not let this Adam Munroe be the Adam of Eden, immortal and never getting around to dying.

    Hell apparently anything is possible

I don't think Kensei is Kaito's killer.  (But if he is he is working with someone else.) The reason being is that Kensei's power is regeneration. (Of course Kensei could be another power mimic like Peter) When Angela Petrelli was attacked there was no one in the room with her.  She was being clawed at.  Kensei is more than likely this Adam Monroe that was on this file and who left a note for Peter.  When Peter is at the place in Montreal there were Samurai armor and banners in the background.  Plus there were other antiques.  A perfect cover/job/hobby for an Immortal (like in Highlander) is an antique dealer/collector.   Personally I think Season 2 has too many plot holes.  In the 1st season Molly mentioned that the Nightmare man (Matt's father)  is much worse than the Boogeyman (Sylar).  Sylar went around cutting open people's brains. Maury just gives people nightmares.  I think that there is much more to his power though.  Kinda of like Freddy Kruger of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies.  The Nightmare man could be the killer .  (He could have placed Kaito and Ando in one of these nightmares and caused Kaito to jump off the roof himself.  As with Angel Pettrelli he could have done the same) Granted he showed Matt and Nathan a picture of him as the next target but why the heck did he have one of Bob there as the next target. Maury is the one sending out the death threats either that the killer is stupid and sent him Bob's pic as well.   (Has anyone noticed that each time someone receives this death threat photo Nathan is around.)  On NBC's website the next episode's summary states that the Company is preparing for an attack by the nightmare man.

Heroes has a potential to be a great show but so far there are too many plot inconsistencies.  NBC has way too many different writers for this show.  If each episode were stand alones then it would be fine.  But since every story is connected there needs to be a smaller team of writers.  ( I realize there is a basic structure they are working from)

One last theory:  Kensei could be the source/start of all these powers.  He could have actually known about his powers long  before he met Hiro and was playing dumb (or in this case drunk).  If Kensei is this Adam Monroe in the present then he is adaptly named for the first man ADAM (1st Hero/Evolved Human).  Lets see, Hiro meets him in 1671.  He could have children who inherited his evolved DNA.  These children grow up and have children themselves and then the special traits is spread out over generations.  This is Basic genetics.  Traits can skip certain generations then show up in another.  In 337 years he could have had many children. This could explain why every person in the Heroes universe is not an evolved human because evolved humans havent been around that long.  If this theory turns out to be true then everyone with powers are distant cousins. LOL!!!
