Reply to PostSeeing the post about west being claires dad was kind of weird but i was thinking that maybe candice is west, now just hear this through lol. Candice has the power to manipulate what people see so maybe when sylar "killed" her he didn't and that was just an illusion. And that would explain how in the episode kindness of strangers when noah comes out to follow claire she has disappeared behind the house almost to quick, maybe she made noah see nothing there just a crazy theory.

Claire disappeared so fast as West flew away with her (you saw it happen as HRG turned away - how did you miss that?!)
The virus is a neurological disease that manifests in those with abilities, and attacks the part of the brain that cause them (its all in the brain remember) the first symptom is loss of power (Syler anyone?) resulting in fever (the haitian) and death (I imagine DL, as Nikki now has it)
I also believe that the sickness that Maya causes is something completely different.
And about Takezo Kensei? Remember how many times Kring and Co. have stated 'everyones connected'...? Maybe all Takezos descendants are the ones with abilities? Think about it - we already have more than a good idea that hes still knocking around in the present, and he is a ladies man in the past, how many children could a 1000 year old guy have through the years? Plus, hes obviously English, so had travelled to Japan - and god knows where else before/after.
I'm waiting for Hiro to return to the present, only to find that Kensei is now after him in the present (Never knew he existed before he travelled back in time, does now - also knows of his power...)

I would find it possible for Kensei to still be alive if i knew when he developed his powers because people keep implying that he never grows old but if that was the case he would still be a baby, but if it only started to take effect from when we saw him shot by the arrows then i believe he could be alive still. just a thought

The writers have implied a couple of times about the eclipse and the role it plays. Remember when Hiro first went back to feudal Japan, there was eclipse. The could have been what triggered Kensei's regenerating abilities and would explain why he reached a certain age and then stopped. But does that mean Claire is going to be 17 forever? I also believe that the eclipse has some bearing on people regarding the manifestation of their abilities. The eclipse when Hiro appeared in feudal Japan was the second one we have seen on the show, one happened in the first epi of season one unless I'm mistaken? I'm sure the writers have a good reason to be using an eclipse on the title card for the show also.

Yeah it happened in the first episode.
Lucky claire if she gets to stay at the age of seventeen... She'll be able to get a man in her bed whenever she wants!
Anyways, I never got how the eclipse could be significant - I mean, they make it seem like it is, but how would it be?? I really hope they have a good explanation for it.
