Reply to Postso, obviously Hiro went back to 1671 because of kensi, but where does it all come into with Heroes? i wonder if this is going to be something where theres a long history of heroes from the past with that symbol

I think it is because she's going to end up being the ultimate hero. Or maybe even a superhero. Doesn't a show like Heroes have to have a Superhero eventually?

I think Clair is a SuperHero as well as Peter! Neither one of them can die, right? Well they can but they come right back. I cant wait for this season to start!

Claire may not be able to die but she's not a super hero! Do you see the way she escaped in the last episode? She just jumped out a window. A superhero flies out a window. They have a little thing called finese.

The symbol was interesting to me that only jessica and hiros sword had it...
but I watched disc oneagain and I saw the symbol EVERYWHERE....the one that I remember the best was at the house when Parkman discovers his power....the pool has the symbol.
Also Isaac paints TONS of the same symbol..meaning that the symbol has meaning...and after watching the first two episodes I saw it MOR and MORE. Now I am just finishing up the first season and more involved in the story than looking for a symbol.

Yeah, the symbol is an intricate part of the story. The Haitian had a necklace with that symbol on it, which Peter has now.
The symbol almost resembles a strand of DNA... except DNA has a double helix and this is just one. But I think they have something in common.
Peter and Sylar are very similiar. Peter has the superhero quality, Sylar has the super villian qualities, even if he isn't the deep dark force behind it all... What separates Peter from all the other Heroes is his ability to have all the powers. He can do everything. Not just freeze time or heal himself, but through empathy and his sensitivity can absorb all the abilities of others which makes him, potentially, the most powerful Superhero...
