Reply to PostYou know..for the longest time I realized that currently Nathan, Peter, and West can fly, but is their a chance that Sylar can to. *NOT THE SAME WAY* as our other heroes but through his Telekenisis powers. He can lift and move objects with his mind...he can MOST Likely use that same power to fly...kinda like Jean Grey from the X-Men what do you guys think???

Yes, that is how he fly's. IMO the only benefit Nathan, Peter, and West have with their flying ability is it doesn't seem to take any focus or concentration to do.

I think alot of it comes down to the usual issue Telekinisis is an incredibly potent ability one that has a ridiculous amount of applications and ive yet to see anything in television or film that even scratches the surface of the virtually limitless applications of Telekinisis.
Ultimatly I think that the writters tend to use powers to facilitate the story instead of letting instead of dictating it.
Take for example Claudes invisibility and Candice's Illusions, realistically Candice could do everything Claude could and then some yet Candice was never shown to use her illusions to provide invisibility, you could even go further and state that while Candice's Illusions are Photonic and thus are a bit more usful, Matt/Maury can largely mimic her abilties they are just more limited.

Until we see him actually do it I'd have to say no. In comic books not every single telekinetic could fly. Jean Grey could but not initially. Marvel Boy couldn't for the longest time.
It'd be like saying every strong person could lift up a battleship like Superman. Each person is an individual.

Sylar can't fly like Nathan, Peter or West, but he can levatate. From my previous post above and in one of the first episodes in season 1, when Parkman and his FBI partner are chasing him after he tries to kill Molly. Sylar seems to levetate after being shot at. He also seem to have a teleportation ability of some sort. In the homecomming episode when Peter helps Claire up the stairs and tells her to get help, Sylar was far away at the door, then a split second later he apears right next to Peter.Posted 11/13/2007 3:40:28 AM #

He has also been seen using into to leap inhuman distances in on of the Graphics were he leaps up and clings to a street light.
The fact is that if a telekinetic can throw objects weighing 180 pounds+ at descent velocity then they can fly they may not have considered applying their telekinetic abilites in that way but they COULD do it.

Yeh I agree...through out first season Sylar has showed mild versions of flight...Monk i like what you did pick up on...Sylar did show some sort of flight when Matt shot at him in the alley scene and in the homecoming episode where he ends up right next to Peter....Its about time Sylar got his Powers Back.!!!!!!

sylar has no powers right now, so no he cant fly. He might have been able to levitate using his telekinesis, but iv never seen him do it. However when he killed the woman with the super hearings she said "Why couldn't i hear hear your footsteps"
to wgich he responded "thats because there werent any...
