Reply to Postthis has nothing to do with this thread but neway, I think what will happen is the virus will get released which is why a press conference will be held, and basically every hero in that viscinity will become infected rendering them "powerless" which coincides with the title of the episode. whether or not peter will be effected i have no idea.
Just some things I was think about.

If the Heroes stop the virus...then hopefully no body will be infected. I think currently 2 people are "Powerless": Sylar and Niki. I think the season will end with Sylar getting his powers back and again being the villain of the story.

what i beleive is that adam does not exactly wish to unleas it unto the world, he just wishes to unleash it onto himself. there is no other way to kill himself, but the virus would surpress his abilities, then kill him. i beleive that he has been around so long, seen so much, that he just wants it all to stop. anything he ever tries to do will die with timme, and if he ever loves someone, they will die eventually. he will jus keep on living, forever, and i beleive that he just wants it all to end. i beleive he does not wish to bring the apocalypse unto the world, just unto himself.
*i do realize that the one flaw in my theory is that decapitation will result in loss of nervous system reactions, so he cannot regenerate withou his head: this being the only way to kill him without the virus. so far.

I am no longer focused on Season 2 because I think that whole season was on crack due to the writer's strike. I have basically forgotten everything about season 2 and I am not going to debate about it anymore. Sorry!
