New Hero approaching! - Simone Deveaux

Remember that dream that Peter had where he first saw himself exploding? If you remember, all of the main heroes were in it, and nobody who didn't have powers was in it - until Simone. Simone was the only one in the dream who we don't know if she has powers or not. But with everyone else in the dream having powers, I think it must mean Simone had (or had if she is somehow still alive) powers. It only makes sense, since Charles, her father, was part of that group of people like Angela and Hiro's dad. So this means Charles almost definitely had a power, which means that Simone likely had a power!

....Now let's just hope she's still somehow alive....!

Also, I have a theory that's kinda related to this. Ever wonder where Peter's dreams come from? (The ones that give hints of the future/ help Peter know what he has to do next).

I mean, as far as we know you can only start off with one power, so if Peter's power is to absorb others', then why does he seem to have this dreaming power? So my theory is that he got it from Charles Deveaux, and this is why Charles knew that Peter was there in the dream that Peter had - because Charles has the same power.

    Waddaya think?

By the way, sorry for the double post, but for anyone who cares:

I started watching heroes about two weeks ago, I finished all the episodes to date (25 I think) in about a week and a half, and I joined the forums today. :D :D :D

    I love it!

Blop - good observations. The "dream sequence" that you are referring to with Peter, Charles and Simone on the rooftop may not have actually been a 'dream'- but more like remote viewing. No one I've spoken with besides Monk has realized that Mohinder has the ability to remote view (when your consioussness becomes dissassociated with your physical self or environment) and you exist as sort of a 'disembodied eye' - able to traverse time and space to view events past, present or future.....even though you feel as if you are in your body. I don't know if Suresh realizes what he posseses. Others might say it's astral projection, similar to remote viewing. You'd be better served to ask astralis (site member) - he's smart about that shit.

It could have been Simone or even Charles that have this ability, or they could all have a variation of it and now Peter has all of them.

So much to think about. - good post

    Thanks.

Where does Suresh show that he has remote viewing? I don't remember anything like that ever happening.... Or am I just being stupid? :P

Everytime Mohinder is shown watching himself and his father argue in the third person, or observing some other situation without being noticed (like he's not there) is him remote viewing. Just like what Peter experienced on the rooftop of the Deveaux building......

But he was only viewing those things with his father when the little boy was visiting him in his dreams, wasn't he? I always thought that Charles had the prophecy-like powers that Peter got when he saw himself fly and when he saw himself blow the city up. But Peter has them for the first time when he is in the cab with Mohinder, so those powers being Mohinder's is a possibility. How would Charles be able to talk to Peter during his prophecy thing though, if those were not Charles' powers?

I think the little boy may have just entered those dream like states or remote viewing sessions (unbeknownst to Mohinder) when Suresh needed answers. Remember, when asked - the boy even said that he did not visit Mohinder, but that Mohinder sought him. I don't think that the boy was the one causing it, or even empowering him. That boy has the ability to kind of just enter dreamtime like the aborigines, and he may be like a guide that is sensitive to those needing his help. Reminds me of the how the boogeyman can enter your mind without really wanting him too.

I suspect that Charles may have a similar ability too. His may be more visionary in nature.

When Peter had the prophetic vision of standing in the street about to explode and all the heroes were there - that was more of a lucid and prophetic, yet still dream-like experience......and it never played out exactly like that in the end @ kirby plaza.

To me, the time on the rooftop with Charles was more like what Suresh experiences.

Molly always sees that symbol when she sees the boogeyman. It's like an eye. Maybe the boogeyman isn't a person, but more of a formless entity seeking new hosts. Maybe Niki was whe first and Peter is the next... from the marks of the tatoo on there bodies... ?
