You know Guest...your absolutely right..i never thought about that theory of Sylar surviving at the end until you just explained it.  I was really disappointed with that future episode because future Hiro tells past Hiro that He stabbed Sylar and he survived because he had teh cheerleaders power, but then they showed Claire and I was like "Huh...what are they saying..Sylar took Claires power..how is she alive...is this what the world will be regardless that Peter saved Claires life.." but now that you mentioned it like that it seems that Future Hiro "assumed" it was Claire's power that allowed Sylar to survive, but in reality it was Candice Taking care of him.  I didnt look at teh theory like you did Guest...Nice post!!!!

I think Claude, the invisible man, can be ruled out as the killer. That was Nathan who Ando bumped into when he was going to meet Kaito in the season premiere. But on top of that, Christopher Accelston, the actor who played Claude, is previously booked and won't be in any episodes this season.

No Maj the future episodes where claire was alive that you speak of are after the effects of claire being saved, so prior to this it likely was claires powers "at least in hiros mind and in hiros mind is the cause of alot of the issues" that saved Sylar from Hiros sword attack at which point just as in the core timeline Sylar likely through Hiro back Telekinetically where he returned to 1648 so you see Future Hiro just like our hiro didnt see the final outcome of the events at Kirby plaza so just like in our timeline in the altered claire was saved timeline candice saved sylar and just like in our timeline he killed candice and used her powers to impersonate Nathan well after Nathan who in that timeline didnt make the eroic sacrafice of flying peter into the stratasphere instead he allowed peter to explode and covered it up blaming it on sylar.

The key thing you must understand as they have established it in heroes much like in the the time machine movie/fim one cant travel to the past and change the very event that prompted them to travel to the past as this would negate their reason for the intervention ergo for future Hiro NY needed to explode and Ando needed to die or he would never have travelled back to warn peter.

As such future Hiros timeline is now a parrallel future no longer the likely future.

However it is perfectly ok for Our Hiro or Peter to travel to the future and then change events in the present to effect the future.

God I think I might have to make a new thread on how time travel in heroes works as it seems to be confusing for a lot of folks yet quite obvious to me

Karl, you just turned something realy simple into something way more complicated. I think you need a lesson in how to explain stuff. Everybody, I think Karl is some sort of genius! Are you some sort of time travel expert? Teach me! Oh god, teach me, please, Karl! I mean, nobody's explained it to me like that. -Is that how you wanted us to react?

Yeh Karl....I kinda also got lost in what you had to say...Time Travel is not really something we CAN do unless you personally have a teacher named Doc Brown and own a Delorean car that runs on 1.21 JIGOWATTS.  So its a parallel time line now thats all you had to say!!

The shorter version of the ramble above........

Furure Hiro assumed that Sylar survived being stabbed because he had claire's power. He thinks Sylar blew up the city causing the "evil" future.

We know that he survived due to the "morphing" women ( i forget her name) and that claire was alive and well up until Sylar cut Claire's head open in the future.

If you think about it, Future Hiro just got shit lucky and saved the world by complete accident. Kind of negating all the meaning of "save the cheerleader, save the world"

He could have said "actually screw the cheerleader and move to canada!" Not a snappy tagline but you get my drift.

on the time travel thing, Karl i get what you mean...

Start at point A (Present) wanting to change Point B (past).

Go to point B, change it and then when point A comes around naturally there would be no point in going back to B as it never would have happened.

    I think i get it......................my head hurts.

I'm going to change up the subject on you all......and go off on a little tangent -

Anyone ever notice the symbolic reference to our beloved president bush in the episode '5 years gone?' The shapeshifting Sylar masquerading as Nathan was a perfect shot at bush, and how he is not at all who he confesses to be. Says one thing, does another. A truly evil being wrapped up in the skin of a hypocritical politician.......(and then theres Sylar).

Not to get all sentimental, but it was pretty obvious, especially when he was giving his speech in the heart of New York in the smoldering remains from the nuclear blast which bore a not so subtle likeness to post 9/11..... I'm sure it was a genuine tribute in that regard, but I couldn't help feeling sad watching that part knowing that it wasn't what it seemed.....and I'm not talking about the show.

The other correlation I've seen connecting this show and our current political situation is Lindermans whole philosophy of "allowing a tragic number of people to die as means to an end" much like the current administration allowing the few, powerful elite members of society who truly run the world to craft an elaborate and unforgivable plan, aimed at helping the rich get richer while taking away our civil liberties in the process.

(It's the same ideology that Raz al Ghul practiced in Batman..... thinking that certain societies need to be cleansed thru mass murder, uniting the frightened survivors in a state of fear for ease of control.

Linderman felt justified in knowing that innocent lives would be destroyed so that a certain percentage of advanced or "elite" individuals would be safe and continue on to supposedly make the human race stronger. Culling the heard. Losing some weak, useless brain cells from a hard weekend of partying....

It's just nice to see some current issues being integrated into such a popular show in the form of symbolism on a deeper level and that Heroes is not isolating itself in it's own fictional world all the time. I'm sure most of us have picked up on a lot of it already, just wanted to point out what I noticed

I agree Anu Naki. I felt like I was the only one who saw that kind of symbolism in the show. Unfortunately, there is powerful private companies or maybe one major company that controls most of everything that goes on in the US if not the world. They kind of remind me of the 'Company' on Heroes. Plans like Linderman to sacrifice our own to bring others together as a nation and to instill fear and control in the American people. Sorry, I kinda got off subject a little. I just feel it relates if your interested in looking at the show in relation to our world in a deeper way. If anyone is interested in some good, research backed info on this kind of subject, check out www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ It's real inense and focuses on research that is not made available to the general public. Thanks for reading my off the subject post...
