okay, if HRG is Noah, then what does HRG stand for, and why not just call him Noah?

First off, for the question about Matt Parkman's wife and child, he mentions the affair that she had and that the reason why they split was because she was carrying "his" baby. The child is not his so therefore, shouldn't have any powers.
As far as villains go, yes Sylar got his powers back and while he is capable for leading a team for a short period (as he showed when he was plotting to manipulate Maya) it wouldn't take long until he decided that he was better off alone. Not to mention the fact that Adam is still alive. He's trapped in a box and it's only a matter of time before some grave robber digs him out.
Last we saw of Niki, she's dead from what I could tell. She was still in the building when it exploded but if we've learned anything from previous episodes, no one stays dead for long if the writers feel that they need them in the story. Hell they even brought Claire's dad back from the dead and for what purpose at the time?
It will be interesting to find out who shot Nathan, although I have a pretty good idea.
One question that's been bugging me though is what is Mrs Petrelli's Power? What was their dad's power? What about Charles Deveu? Or Hiro's father? Or anyone else from the original 12? We already know that Linderman's power was healing.

I think HRG shot Nathan.
Part of the deal...

Ok here are some theories: As far as powers Angela Petrelli has the power of persuasion but she has to touch the person she persuading. Charles Deveau, I don't know. If we can look back into the show the only thing I can see was when Charles spoke to Peter while he was more or less invisible or time traveling. However it is possible that he may have had a earlier version of the Shanti virus which eventually killed him and during his infection his power was dormant therefore peter would not have absorbed it? So we may never know unless the writers go back and give us a backstory. The same can be said for Hiro's father and the Petrelli father whose brain may have been on display in the vault. I think in a graphic novel or somewhere i read that Bob commented that the father was really powerful or at least someone who rivaled Linderman and Adam Monroe. Here's a question to ponder. Could Adam technically be the progenitor of all the heroes becaused he did marry a lot of different women over the 4 centuries and could have easily widened his gene pool. Also one last one does Nichelle Nichols character possibly have any powers? Oh yeah HRG did shoot Nathan as part of his deal with Bob because there wasn't a definitive time period established that he could not have gotten to Odessa to do it, besides thier plan was recorded in the vault. It was decided before they even walked out the door.

Thomas, I like your theory about Adam being sorta the "father" of these people with powers. I mean 400 years is a long time. You cud F alot of women. That would def make an exciting and interesting storyline. Like he was the first human to become "super" and created this whole chain of evolutionary species.

if that is the case, did adam gain his powers at the time of the eclipse? seams that he never knew he had them before that point (when hiro turns up). and again is that the same case, in peter and nathans generation, does it trigger off the power. if so peter never would have gained his fathers powers as he didn't come into contact with him after the eclipse. p.s. 400 years wort of sex... yeah i could live with that ; )Posted 1/12/2008 7:20:51 AM #

apparently charles devau?? had the power to acces peoples dreams, hence why peter and him were flying in peters dream.
if adam is the daddy who is adams daddy????????
i think somehow adam will be saved by sylar, he has super hearing and so can probably hear adam screaming for help.
although matt thinks the kid isn't is i think it is, if you remember is the episode in the future HRG has hidden Matts family for their own safety
and finally (for now) why didn't adam kill Hiro when he was a child, then he would have had is geisha and they would have lived happily ever after

Well Adam was put into prison before Hiro was even born, so it wouldn't have been possible for him to kill Hiro, not to mention that there would have been the paradox of killing Hiro before he had a chance to open Adam's eyes to what his potential really is.
As for the future that was supposed to happen in season one, they stopped that from happening at the end of season one. But I did notice several things that should have happened regardless of them changing the events at Kirby Plaza and yet they were changed.
I can buy that HRG shot Nathan as part of the "deal" but if he did then that definitly speaks volumes about his character. I always thought that he was only doing what he thought was best for his family, but obviously he found new priorities.
It would be nice to see the next season show exactly what the original 12 had to face in their time, but I'm also curious as to what is in store for the heroes in the next volume.
