I think the clue is in the name: Adam. The first man. Maybe he was the first with these 'super' powers??? I definitely think he's related to everyone in the company. Maybe they trapped him and used him to create a super race, and used his blood somehow to create powers of their own.
Honestly I am not sure how Angela Petrelli gets to sleep with so many people. She's striking, but she isn't the most feminine woman in the world.
For the record, I don't think English is TK's first language. Saying that, it's obvious that everyone on this forum is a fan of great writing - after all it's the writing which makes Heroes the great series it is - yet seem to spend such little time on their own personal spelling and grammar. That is true of most forums actually.

Everyone keeps talking about that Adam could be Claire's grandfather and that powers skip a generation. Well than, why do West and Nathan have the same powers? I don't think they're related. It just doesn't add up. Sorry.

I think the dark secret is that Mr. Petrilli isn't really dead at all. He knew thru Angela's power of seeing the future thru dreams that his sons were going to turn on him so he had to get out of the picture because he couldn't do anything to the Pertrilli brothers since they are so crucial to Linderman's plans as well as the future regardless.
Angela doesn't have any other kids thru Kaito or anyone else, those theories are ridiculous. She banged kaito as she said but that's all.
I do think that Adam is the father of some of the founders, particularly Linderman.
