but NOW since Present Day Peter has met Claire he has healing powers so that Scar should'nt Exist now on Future Peter? I think the producers forgot to get rid of it.

Thanks, Ive been thinking of why Future Peter has that scar because my theory says that it should be healed, right? Well I think it has healed and future Peter does have the power to heal because he saved Claire so that is fact. I think future peter can shapeshift because thats how he disguised himself when he shot nathan. He must have run into a girl that can shape shift. What makes sense is i think its Peters choice to keep the scar there because it means something or he doesnt want to forget who gave it to him. I think the scar has healed but he shapeshifts back to how he remembered himself and how he wants to appear. So that is why he has the scar its his choice because we have seen him look normal when he wants, so cleary he doesnt want to be without the scar, its part of him. He has the healing power but he masks it with eh shape shifting, thats what im thinking.
Yes, very good points about the scar. No question future Peter can shape shift as we saw him hide the scar. I'm going on the assumption he got that power from Candice at Kirby Plaza in the Season 1 finale. Remember, she was lurking in the sewers, pulling the "dead" Sylar down after he was impaled on Hiro's sword. It would be safe to assume she could have been directly beneath Peter while he and Sylar were fighting, close enough for him to sponge off her even if they were separated by some concrete and gravel.

wow go peter you stole exactly what i said on the firstpage and the future peter from season one did meet claire, if you guys dont remember future hiro thought sylar exploded not peter the bomb did happen nathan just fly him up to the sky so really in essence the whole save the cheerleader save the world thing was pointless
I have a few good theories as to why Peter has that scar. Yes he has the power to heal so why does he have it? well think this is the future so there a possiblity that he has learned to control his Rapid Cellular Regeneration ability. And when he got the scar he didnt heal for en emotional reason.
1. Being he tried to protect someone he cared about. And in the fight for their protection he obtained that scar but could not protect said person. And kept the scar as a burden on his part saying something like "I couldn't protect you and if I was to heal then thats like saying I never tried at all" or something like that.
2. Or maybe he couldn't heal for another emotional reason. Remeber Niki she developed a split personality because she couldn't emotionaly deal with what was going on in her life. So Peter probably thinking he was the cause for the horrible future he lives in couldn't emotionaly deal with it and around the time he obtained the scar couldn't heal for that very reason.
I think it might be a scar from a the sword that hiro has with the helix on it. Maybe there is no healing from that sword it does seem to have some significance.

Well there have been inklings that during this season there will be someone who will strip the heroes of their abilities, so my theory is that Peter meets someone in the future who takes away his abilities and during the fight he gets his scar, and since he was wounded when he couldnt heal, his scar stays even after he gets his ability back. Theres probably a bunch of loopholes in that theory but its just my two cents.
