it was future peter i have season 2 on dvd and it shows the script saying bang bang and future peter kills his brother also it shows him taking a jacket and a baseball cap and wearing it just like nathan posted up there

it also has an alternative ending which is so cool the virus is released and nathan collapses at the podium because he has the virus and peter blocks the only bridge that can get out of odessa by causing a landslide then there is a huge quarintine and it says to be continued

I think Maggie shot Nathan . . . . oh wait, wrong show with a shooting as a cliffhanger ending.
First off, where are you that the season 2 DVD is out already? We don't get it in Canada until Auig. 26. I'm not necessarily it isn;t Peter who shoots Nathan, but I would be cautious about putting all my faith in a script excerpt on the DVD special features. Show producers have been known to change scripts, and they are not above putting out misleading information to throw fans off the real answer. The Simpson did it in the summer of Who Shot Mr. Burns, and although I'm too young to recall I'm sure it happened with Dalls and Who Shot JR?
Bottom line is we'll find out who shot Nathan when Tim Kring et al want us to find out, and that will be when Heroes: Villains gets under way. And because "leaks" and Internet chatter of late are all pointing to Peter, I'll stick with my original guess that HRG is the gunman.
BTW, can;t wait to see Seth Green on the show. he kicks.

I am going to go with HRG (noah bennet) but i mean no one remembers from the first season when jessica (and niki) get the call from linderman to kill nathan...maybe it was her

It was Future Peter who shot Nathan, watch the season 3 sneek peak on the the season 2 dvd box set, it shows a split second shot of future Peter with the scar on his face dressed in black and grabbing a black hat off a coat rack, which is what the shooter is wearing. Bennett was always the prime suspect but i dont think the writers would make it that easy!!!!

I think it was a future peter or HRG as well.
Also, when someone said about Angela being on the phone and mention's Pandora's box, i think that she must have been speaking to Daphne (possibly the 3rd Petrelli sibling) and the Pandora's Box was the secret Hiro's family had kept for ages. So basically, i think Daphne stole the Pandora's box from Hiro and then Daphne was possibly talking to her mother about it.

Right it is in no way bennet if it is i will be sorely dissapointed the cliffhanger would have been pointless IT IS TO OBVIOUS TO BE BENNET. But seen as though none of us actually know heres my theory,
the teasers for vol. 3 "villains" there is a clip of the characters from the future (the part where claire is pointing a gun at peter), it would be far better in in keeping with the current style of heroes if it was.. say peter from the future coming back to shoot nathan from making a possibly terrible mistake (he would know as he is from the future) or maybe someone else from the future, just we know from the trailer that the "future" depictions of the characters are in the new series, there we go rant over.
sorry for the seemingly overused word "future" lol

After watching the Season 3 sneak peek on the Season 2 DVD, I will capitulate that future Peter is the shooter. There is quite a bit on there with future Peter dressed in black, apprently on the set of the Odessa's sherriff's department, and clear indications that Parkman is chasing him. According to the interview with Greg Gunberg, the new season will start at the moment the season 2 finale finished.
This week before the season premiere can't go by fast enough.
