Though it has been confirmed that sylar contains many abilities over time and they haven't been completely discovered by the audience, I'd have to disagree with the surgery thing, i mean i agree with a portion of it but it was stated in wikipedia (which is known for stating false information at times) Said that around the third season that the veiwers would get to see alittle more as to how he aquires these abilities, meaning that we would see how he eats them and eventually aquire that power. i mean if he didn't eat them which should end up in his digestive system he can't put them in his head!!
And On another note i always thought he had an ability of his own. I mean think about this, if someone had the bold, cuthroat, vicious tactics to cut someones brain out and take their abilities to later possess them, wouldn't that mean that he'd have to have his own ability aswell. some kind of way to take the information from the victims heads and preceive it as his own hereditary traits, meaning his body should be able to adapt to receiving this type of information, which we could'nt do, i mean without the help of the "extra-ordinary" , of course. you know what i mean?

In regards to your second point, the writers have actually said that that was simply meant for "coolness factor" as was Peter's voice. Does no-one think that if Sylar absorbed Peter's ability (empathy) he would no longer need to kill? Of-course, there's the fact that he's a meglomaniac to deal with, but that could be achieved through counselling....

Does anyone else think that all the "heroes" will team up with the company now? I mean, Elle saved them all- and attacked Sylar.

Ok so maybe sylar doesnt eat brains, it makes sense witht he surgical book. But they announced that they were going to show us in season 3 within the first few episodes. He used his telekinesis to float and or hover, however you want to put it. The voice thing has been confirmed by Kring that it is just to make the characters seem more cool, Sylar isn't the only one who does it. You know here is my opinion for one of his abilities. The Enhanced Memory from Charlie I mean it hasnt really benn confirmed that he really took it. Think about this Charlie said she had a blood clot in her brain so it possible that she died from that, as well as the fact that Hiro gave her a ticket to Japan so its possible she could have to the trip to. But here is the most important detail her abilitie was Enhanced Memory so she could remember everything. So if Sylar took it then he would have remember being injected by the company with the virus even if he wasnt awake. But I'd say he had to open his eyes at least a couple of times but then passed right back out or they knocked him out. but hey thats just my opinion but a good one at that.

Ok this is pretty much fact, seen so much not true stuff here >< Sylar started of with beeing able to see how people ticked (i.e there brains) were the power is stored. As to wether he eats the brains personally i dont think so but he certainly does something. After he has taking someones power do you see him with blood all over his mouth? His abilities have been listed allready pretty much BUT he does not have Edens move to persuade, as she killed her brain before he could take or do whatever he does to it. There is no evidence to suggest he has Candice's ability shanti virus strips the heroes of there power. Im guessing that would mean his "see how things tick" power was gone at the time he killed her to. Not 100% on it but if he does we will soon find out early in s3. Also any1 else think hatian is the strongest hero 1v1 lol? he kicks peters ass, can still be killed by bullets/sword etc quite easy.
