if u recall in "the hard part" molly says "the bogey man feels your soul then eats your brain" this could mean that sylar does actuaaly eat the brain to obtain the power
What powers does Sylar have?

It's obvious Sylar does something with the brains of his victims as he leaves an empty skull behind. The best evidence of this is Isaac's painting of his own death. And I doubtful that Sylar did get Eden's power. I think those at the Company were aware of what Sylar had to do to acquire powers, which is why Eden shot herself in the head when he caught her. Go back and watch that episode and check out the extreme disappointment on Sylar's face when she pulls the trigger.

He eats the brains the writers confirmed this its why he says things like delicious powers and various other allusions to powers being yummy, the writers confirmed it in an interview. HE EATS THE BRAINS

It's been confirmed... Sylar collects the brain matter and turns them into pancake batter, by smashing them and rolling them out with a rolling pin and makes cupcakes and pancakes. he then sells them to to kids at bake sales... That's just what I heard. i think it's true. it's a pretty reliable souce...

I started a thread way back when about what Sylar does to the brain after he slices open the head. We dont know yet because we havent seen it, but it confirmed one thing that atleast we know where the source of the Hero's power comes from...its in the brain...something materialistic (tissue, brain mass, nerve..etc.) Its not genetic like how the "X-Men" have it. I really want to see what Sylar TAKES from a heros head!!!!

apperently he does eat the brain but the producers didnt want to confirm this thru the actual series as its to 'zombie' like. if that makes sense :s
i also fink that syler retains his powers at the end of the 2nd series but ellie also has sumthing to do with syler (weva its killin him or woteva) so wel jus hae to wait and c ladies

Here's a theory I have about Sylar and one of his powers in particular. I think we all agree that he has telekinesis, but I say that he also has aerokinesis, which is an extension of telekinesis (not to say that it automatically appears if you have TK, but it's related to it and I could see Sylar developing it with ease) Go to www.activatingevolution.com to read more, but it's esentially being able to manipulate the air around you, much like he does already with objects, etc.
In time & after much practice you could use it to fly (unless you were born with the skill at it's highest level, ala Nathan Petrelli which might not require much practice at all) and I think this is the power Sylar used to levitate before killing Dale, what he used to "float" super fast up the steps behind Peter in 'Homecoming' and most importantly- what he uses to slice peoples skulls off.
I'm sure everyone is going to argue with me and say that the aforementioned situations are all just examples of telekinesis (and I'll concede the first two - either TK or aerokinesis could achieve the same results) but the last one - the scalping exercise.......telekinesis just doesn't explain it for me. I mean, he points his finger at their foreheads without ever actually touching them with anything. No glass, no pencil, no dildos.
That's why I think it's aerokinesis, because he could manipulate the air around their heads in such a way that it focuses into a tight vortex, able to slice through just about anything - kind of like a miniature tornado. I've seen industrial manufacturing companies use tightly focused beams of high pressure water to cut through metal, which sounds unreal - but my idea is the same.
Where did he get this, you say? From who? Just remember that Sylar was on a killing spree for something close to six months and he could've had numerous victims. And back then, he was killing with purpose - hunting those who had abilities. We can't be selfish enough to think that the writers are going to tell us everything, can we? My theory is that he has both TK and AK and uses them interchangeably, since they are so closely related.
