Ali Larter: Remaining on Heroes

On yesterday's Round Table, our staff unanimously agreed that we wanted to see Tracy die. Why?

The character has overstayed her welcome. She brings nothing new to the show. Moreover, someone has to die soon. The series continues to fake viewers out with pretend deaths, lowering the level of drama and suspense each time.

That being said, producer/writer Bryan Fuller has a message for our site: prepare to be disappointed.

He spoke to Entertainment Weekly this week and put to rest rumors that Ali Larter wants off the show.

"She's not going anywhere," Fuller said. "I've never seen somebody so committed to the show as Ali, and the show is absolutely committed to Ali."

Good Luck, Tracy

The scribe added that he jumped at the chance to pen an upcoming episode that focuses on Larter's Tracy.

"If you look at the 'Fugitives' arc, it all kind of leads up to episode 20 in a nice way. There's a great twist in her arc."

There better be, Bryan!

Ali Larter: Save Heroes!

Ratings for last night's episode of Heroes were scarcely an improvement over last week's series-low figure.

Might this spell the end for the once-popular series? Ali Larter sure hopes not.

"[Cancellation] would be terrible in my book. The cast just loves the show," the actress said to E! Online this week. "We have such amazing writers. Bryan Fuller is coming back, which is so incredible... If the network doesn't want to bring us back I'll be really sad, but you know what, I just can't even go there. I think that the show was so strong first season, and we'll come back and get it back to where it should be."

NBC has yet to make any kind of official announcement regarding a possible fourth season of the show.

Meanwhile - Heroes Spoiler Alert! - what might Larter be up to in the weeks ahead?

"We did an incredible episode that Greg Yaitanes shot and that Bryan Fuller wrote," she said. "It's his first episode back. It's just so complex. It's so compelling, and he really has come up with another interesting power - another interesting way to understand what these characters are going through."

We're intrigued. We just hope we have the chance to see it.

Ali Larter: What's Ahead for Tracy?

Ali Larter could fill up the cast of Heroes all by herself.

By our count, this actress has already portrayed four different versions of Niki Sanders. On this week's episode, we learned that Dr. Zimmerman apparently created multiple models of the same individual. But each one has different powers and is unaware of her duplicates.

Color us intrigued... and a bit confused.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Larter shed some light on her story line:

Can you hint at what's to come for Tracy?
The interesting about her is, instead of being stricken by this ability [to freeze things] that she has, she becomes kind of in awe of it. And kind of excited by it and fascinated by it at the same time. She's pulled out of her world and has to find different ways to figure out her life and figure out why these things were happening to her. So she's kind of on this journey of understanding who she is.

How does that differ from Niki's journey?
I think Niki hated it. She was afraid of hurting people. It put her in jeopardy of losing her child. She wasn't able to control it, whereas Tracy is a completely different being in that way. She doesn't get stricken with fear. She would find ways to use it or manipulate the situation.

How much is Tracy a part of everything going forward?
I've done a ton of work with Adrian Pasdar this year. And this next volume that we're going into, which is called Fugitives, will kind of take us all out of our comfort zones.

Ali Larter Speaks on Weight Issues, Butt

Heroes star Ali Larter (yes, she'll be back for season three) is on the cover of the latest Allure.

In the issue, the actress opens up about her struggles with weight and the insecurity her profession can create within a beautiful woman.

"I think that's where insecurity comes from, because it starts with being celebrated for the way you look... and it's weird that it's something you did nothing to get," Larter said, referring to the "Hot Girl Syndrome" that fiance Hayes McArthuer claims she possesses.

The Allure of Ali

The 32-year-old New Jersey native (famous ever since her whipped cream bikini in Varsity Blues) revealed she once had to have her thighs duct-taped before a photo shoot because "they were a little too round."

Larter said she remembers "sitting in my trailer hysterically crying from the embarrassment I felt about myself, my body - and that no one could talk to me directly."

Now, fortunately, Larter has found the perfect balance in her life.

"I'm an indulger, but then I have to be good... When I'm in really good shape, I like my butt. It's juicy."

Ali Larter is Lucky... Again

Heroes star Ali Larter graces yet another cover of Lucky Magazine for its May 2008 issue (she was also on the March 2007 cover).

Lucky Actress

Here's what she had to say regarding fashion:

On her style: "I like my clothes to be able to take on my mood rather than tell me my mood. When something looks great on me, I don't even question it. I just buy it, because who knows when I'll find the next just-right thing?"

On wearing a gigantic new engagement ring to the cover shoot: "I've never been a huge jewelry girl, but I'm never taking this off." (She's engaged to longtime boyfriend, actor Hayes MacArthur.)

Ali Larter: Chocolate Lover, Promoter

As Hayden Panettiere fights for whales' rights, Ali Larter is fighting for an equally important cause: chocolate!

Showing off a brand new hairdo, the Heroes star spent Tuesday helping to unveil the Godiva Decadence Suite, a hotel room designed with chocolate from top to bottom at the Bryant Park Hotel in New York City.

"It's the perfect bit of sin," Larter said, adding that Godiva chocolate pearls are her "private daily indulgence."

Of course, reports that the actress is the face of the Belgium-based chocolatier's annual Valentine's Day promotion may have helped her become a big fan of the brand.

Chocolate Goodness

Meanwhile, a handful of Heroes spoilers suggest that we may have seen the last of Niki, but Larter will be back on the series. We can't wait to find out if that's true (hear that, writers?!?).

Ali Larter and Hayes MacArthur: Engaged!

We're happy to announce that Ali Larter and Hayes MacArthur are engaged.

No wedding date has been set, but Larter's rep says the couple is "thrilled" about the announcement.

"I told my boyfriend after three weeks that I wanted to marry him and that we could do it tomorrow," Larter recently said. "I look forward to that time when I'm home with babies."

Ali Larter in Playboy

Don't get so excited, guys. There are no Ali Larter naked pictures in any issues of Playboy.

But there was a question and answer feature with the Heroes star in the most recent magazine. Here's how it went:

Playboy: Is Heroes a hit because it's a metaphor for modern times or a mirror of the human condition?
Ali Larter: It's struck a chord because people want to believe. The fantasy element gives people hope that there's something out there that can make things right. On the other hand, most of the characters are very real-life, and viewers can relate to people who struggle to pay the bills, get their kids to school. I guess you could read the human condition into it, go into Jungian theory, the shadow self.

Beautiful in Black

We try to rise above ourselves yet can't let go of the animal side. We repress stuff; we black out that which we don't want to remember. Do they really go away or do they stay inside of us and manifest themselves in different areas of our life?

All this deep talk... Don't make me sound silly!
