In Toronto, Cast Mum on Heroes Spoilers

Looks like there's one super power actors on our favorite show share: an immunity to Heroes spoilers.

Despite all attempts at cajolery, four cast members and an executive producer, in Canada this week to promote Heroes, kept the secrets of the series' second season to themselves. It's not an easy task when being peppered for information.

"It's really cool that they're actually letting us do it, to actually stop production for a week and go and interact with the fans. I mean, we're really such a fan-based show, and this kind of interaction is so important," said James Kyson Lee, who plays Ando. "The fact that we're going all over the world because the show is showing globally now, it's such a huge component."

Fun Up NorthHeroes has just finished filming the sixth episode of the new season.

Along with Lee, the Toronto contingent included Zachary Quinto; Noah Gray-Cabey, and new cast member Dania Ramirez. Executive producer and writer Jeph Loeb also came along.

The man who portrays Sylar (Quinto) talked about the infusing of guest stars this year.

"It's great to have new energy on the show," said Quinto. "Everybody on this show knows that means forgoing some of your own exposure to include other people, and that's really an important part of our ensemble... I don't think there's anything but excitement about the new people coming aboard."

Dania Ramirez joins the regular cast as Maya, a woman whose powers are connected to her twin brother. But she won't reveal much about her character.

"She is found in Central America, and she is on the run because of her ability and it's making her journey up north a lot more difficult, because she's coming to America illegally and with her brother."

Of course, having such a large cast means that characters can become expendable. Is one of them Micah?

"There is one thing that I would like for my character this season. I would like him not to die," said Gray-Cabey.

Meanwhile, there's one secret or spoiler that Quinto himself doesn't even know.

"I feel like the mystery is the fun of the show, the fact that people are always like `Do you eat them? How do you eat them? You must eat them. You don't eat them, do you?' That's kind of cool and the lure of this character and the show," he says. "It's indicative of the water cooler nature of the show."

Heroes Spoilers, Insight from Cast Members

During a press conference while on tour in Japan, a few cast members discussed the fate of their characters for next season.

We've covered most of these Heroes spoilers on the site already, but you can hear what Masi Oka and company have to say about them below:

Heroes Spoilers: Future of Ando, Micah, Maya

As we gear up for the September 24 season premiere of Heroes, here are a few more tidbits we've picked up about the future of certain characters:

  • Hiro and Ando may be worlds apart, but that doesn't mean this friendship is over. James Kyson Lee told The Associated Press he and the character played by Masi Oka would be still be in touch... despite being hundreds of years apart.

Noah Gray-Cabey Photo"There is going to be a really interesting channel of communication between us," Lee said. "How that's going to happen, you'll have to find out on the 24th. But it will be a fascinating way of storytelling. And what happens in one timeline will affect the other."

  • Noah Gray-Cabey (pictured), who plays the precocious son of good/evil single mom Niki (Ali Larter), hinted at bigger things for his character, as well.

"I'll say that Micah is definitely stepping out of his comfort zone," he said. "And he's going to be meeting some new people, possibly even family."

(Other Heroes spoilers have said this will be Nichelle Nichols, who will play Micah's grandmother.)

  • A new character named Maya (Dania Ramirez) struggles with a developing power. Sound familiar?

"I have a brother, Alejandro, and we're coming to the U.S. to try to find out what's going on with me," Ramirez said. "I don't fully understand what's happening to me. However, my ability has me on the run."

Heroes Spoilers: Keep an Eye on Molly Walker

Molly Walker, Matt Parkman Remember Molly Walker, the little girl Matt Parkman saved to begin season one... and then befriended again to end season one?

As most Heroes followers could have guessed, her fear of the "Boogeyman" will play a prominent role in season two.

Here's what Creator Tim Kring had to say about the part of Molly, also known as the Heroes "tracking device" for her unique super power...

To be honest, we actually thought her re-entry into the show was going to be a lot sooner, and it got pushed back. While we knew she was coming back, in all seriousness and candidness we didn't know it was going to be that late in the series. I would pay some attention to Molly Walker and what she represents as an important clue as to where [Season 2] is going.

That'll be revealed pretty much in the season opener, but this idea that Molly Walker and Suresh's [Sendhil Ramamurthy] sister had similar ailments is a key part of where this story is going in the second season.

Heroes Spoilers: What is Kristen Bell's Super Power?

Quinto and Bell Now that Heroes fans have realized that Kristen Bell truly is coming to their favorite show, one question remains:

What will be her character's super power?

Fortunately, for those that crave Heroes spoilers and simply cannot wait a few weeks to find out, Kristin from E! Online has the following short scoop:

Kristen's power is electricity. I'm also hearing that Kristen might be doing some kind of scene with Masi Oka/Hiro in the past, but honestly, that makes no sense whatsoever to me based on everything else I've heard.

Well... okay then.

From what we hear, it doesn't sound as though Bell's use of electricity will be for the greater good, either. She's rumored to take over as the new villain once Zachary Quinto (Sylar) goes on hiatus for a few weeks to film Star Trek.

Heroes Spoilers: Hiro's Adventure, Life of Takezo Kensei

Season two of Heroes is less than a month away - but that's far too long for serious fans of the show.

If you need a sampling of one of this year's main story lines, a new five-part NBC Web series should do the trick: It's called Sword Saint and it's s currently streaming online at YamagatoFellowship.org.

Takezo Kensei "It's a fake documentary — actually it's more like a Ken Burns mockumentary — that explores the legend of Takezo Kensei," says Heroes creator Tim Kring, referring to the iconic samurai whom Hiro (Masi Oka) will encounter this fall in 17th-century Japan.

"Like Burns, we use academic professors, only ours are actors, and they share their historical insight against a background of paintings, tapestries and graphics. It's a chance to dig a little deeper into the new season. Part of the social currency our fans trade on is their knowledge of the show, and this is a fun, cool way to know a lot more than the next guy."

It's pretty darn cool.

The series unfolds in three- to four-minute installments. It follows the super-swordsman as he takes on a number of Herculean labors - battling snake women, climbing a massive frozen waterfall, single-handedly defeating 90 cannibals - in order to find and slay White Beard, a Genghis Khan-wannabe who is trying to conquer Japan.

The site describes Kensei's life in a series of bullet points, as well. For instance:

  • He's a wild savage turned master swordsman whose heroics helped unify Japan.
  • Takezo found a sword frozen in the snow that helped him focus all his strength and courage. Some say this sword, and Takezo's power, were a Godsend.

When Heroes on September 24, Kensei will be played by former Alias star David Anders, a Caucasian. But this is not some politically incorrect casting mess.

"I promise you'll get the scoop behind this in the season premiere," says Kring. "We're going to reveal why — contrary to legend — Kensei is not Japanese."

Heroes Spoilers: Character Death, New Look for Ando

Here are the latest Heroes spoilers for season two, courtesy of Kristin from E! Online...

One major character is presumed dead in the season premiere, but is actually alive. However, another will die in during that very same episode. Also, there's another huge threat targeting all the Heroes that is far less attractive than Sylar.

In appearance? In evil ambition? Guess we'll have to watch to find out.

Noah Bennet Meanwhile, we all know about Claire's new love interest West (played by Nick D'Agosto), but what sort of influence will he have on this cheerleader's life? Onscreen father Jack Coleman says:

"It's fair to say that Claire does have a romance this year, and it's going to bring us into conflict."

Lastly, it looks like Adrian Pasdar won't be the only character with a new look when season two kicks off.

According to James Kyson Lee, Ando may update his appearance:

"Lots of things to look forward to in season two, including a new look for Ando... We'll probably move on from the Members Only jacket. And there [will] be parallel times, the modern time and the ancient Japan, so I'm... in the present day, going back and forth between New York and Japan, and there's going to be some kind of connection between me and Hiro... But you have to wait until Sept. 24 to find out."

Don't worry, James. We certainly will.

New Heroes Season Two Commercial

NBC has begun to air the following promo for season two of Heroes. It's got us more excited than ever for September 24...

Adrian Pasdar: Burn Victim?

We hope Adrian Pasdar is alright.

Reliable sources from the set of Heroes have told us that the actor has been seen around town with massive burns marks all over his face.

Fortunately, it's safe to assume this is simply another Heroes spoiler - remember, Nathan did fly off into the atmosphere with his exploding brother to end season one. That sort of thing can leave a scar.

For most of the off-season, meanwhile, Pasdar has been spotted with something else on his face: a full-grown beard. Check him out here with co-star Masi Oka:

A Pair of Heroes

Heroes Spoilers: The Role, Future of Nichelle Nichols

We have some news on the role Nichelle Nichols will be playing on the second season of Heroes:

The former Star Trek actress will show up in the fourth episode. She' be portraying Nana, a New Orleans doyenne whose daughter died during Hurricane Katrina.

Nichelle Nichols "Nana is tough and undaunted and - like the blues - she just keeps rising to the occasion," Nichols said.

The character is in dire financial straits and has moved back into her once-flooded home, where she cares for her two grandchildren. One of them is new hero Monica (Dana Davis). This new star is an avenging angel intent on bringing justice to the corruption-plagued Big Easy.

Nana is also a great-aunt to Micah, the junior hero played by series regular Noah Gray-Cabey.

"Micah is sent to New Orleans to live with the family," Nichols said. "It's a quite marvelous, magical story, with wonderful things emerging."

Does Nana have a superpower?

"Well, that remains to be seen, now doesn't it?" teased Nichols.
