Last night's episode of Heroes introduced viewers to a new friend for Claire - and, sadly, yet another drawn out, unnecessary trip around the world for Hiro.

Still, we maintain hope for this volume. Don't give up yet, readers!

Thanks to E! Online, here's a look ahead at next week's episode, which will include a special interrogation and news about a not-so-dead character...

• Forget water boarding. Next week, we'll see what sort of interrogation techniques Matt Parkman possesses when he works his magic to pull secrets out of H.R.G.'s head;
• Is Daphne really dead? We're about to find out;
• First, New York City almost blew up; then Costa Verde was meant to explode in the future; Now, Washington D.C. is in danger. On Monday, we'll learn more about why and how our nation's capitol is in trouble.

Relax, Parkman. Rumors point to Daphne actually being alive (this is Heroes, remember?).

Sorry, Tracy.

But if the following photos from Monday's all-new episode of Heroes, titled "Building 26," are any indication, then you're in serious trouble.

The beautiful face of Ali Larter has not been prominently displayed much on Heroes over the last few months.

Many readers have even questioned why she was brought back as the character of Tracy in the first place.

TV Guide Senior Editor Tim Molloy responded to an inquiry about the future of this actress this week, stating that we won't see more of Larter - but we may see her star in better scenes.

Tracy proves to be "incredibly fearless and resourceful" during the Fugitives volume, a show rep told Molloy, and "ultimately proves to be a strong, enduring presence in the Heroes universe."

On last night's episode of Heroes, Daphne bit the bullet... literally!

You never know with this series, but all signs indicate a permanent death for this enjoyable character.

Moreover, according to E! Online, another blonde with abilities is headed for the grave.

Sources say that Ali Larter's character of Tracy Strauss will be in serious trouble around episode 20. She's described as getting "broken up," which doesn't bode very well based on how last night's installment ended.

Will she return as yet another manifestation along the lines of Niki/Jessica/Tracey? it's unclear, but let's hope not. Deaths have to start sticking on this show or it will lose all suspense.

Heroes didn't merely end its volume four premiere with a cliff-hanger... it ended it with a plane crash!

This Monday's all-new episode picks up where the previous one ended, as viewers will learn the fate of various characters in "Trust and Blood."

What did you think of last night's all-new Heroes episode? Were you Satisfied with how volume four got started?

Chime in now in our shed light on a couple key characters/storylines:

Is Claire's Bio Mom Dead? We know that Sylar is alive, despite Angela's claim of "dental records" proving the contrary. Sounds like Jessalyn Gilsig's may still be breathing, as well.

"They have driven home to me that it's Heroes and so I am not dead," Gilsig told E!. "How could she die by fire? She starts the fire. So I think of her as sitting on the shelf, just waiting to emerge from the ashes. I just hope I don't come back with a lot of burn makeup that I have to wear."

Sylar Has an Awesome Friend. Next week, actor Dan Byrd joins the show and Sylar teams up with his character, Luke. Look for Luke to be a human microwave. Don't stand too close to the screen, viewers.

Will Claire's mom help her out of this precarious position?

This Monday, Heroes kicks off its fourth volume of episodes.

The main storyline will revole around Nathan's evil mission to gather up his former friends and allies.

Here are two clips from the episode, titled "A Clear and Present Danger." The first features Peter and Mohinder; while the second focuses on Claire and Parkman:

It looks like Heroes will be traveling through time once again.

According to new casting calls released by the series, the 23rd episode of season three will focus on younger versions of characters such as Linderman, Chandra Suresh, Charles Deveaux and other original members of The Company.

For example, a recently-published casting request reads:

• YOUNG DANIEL LINDERMAN: 18 – 22, MALE. 5'10" CAUCASIAN. WE NEED TO CAST A YOUNG MALCOLM MCDOWELL. Cocky upstart. Has a way with the ladies. CO-STAR/ POSSIBLE GUEST STAR

Do more flashbacks and/or time traveling make you excited about Heroes?

Not too much is known about volume four of Heroes.

But it does appear as though everyone's memories are safe for a bit.

E! Online recently asked Jimmy-Jean Louis about his role in the "Fugitives" segment of the show and he replied:

"I don't know too much about it, to be honest with you, because I've not been doing too much in this volume."

E! also reports that one Hero will not be coming back next season. Who do you think that will be?
